"The young Roy Jones, Jr. would probably beat Floyd Mayweather, Jr., because basically Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and James Toney fight with the same style. My style is a different style to theirs."

"But when you come back and start talking about Manny Pacquiao, he's a whole different animal. He's a southpaw who throws bombs. You've got to survive his power first, then you deal with him. That's still left to be seen. Of course with my size I'll beat him, but if I was in his weight class, that would be a good fight to see," Jones said on dBoxing Source Radio Show.

I would rather believe Roy Jones himself than the haters on this forum.

RJJ fought a pre prime Hopkins, and Toney is severely overrated. There were many fighters Pacquaio beat that were better than Toney, and JMM was on the same level or higher compared to a prime Hopkins.

Pac at his best was at least as good as RJJ at his best.

    Both were better than Mayweather.

    No he didn't.

Marquez only beat Pac once. At best, Marquez deserved a draw in the first bout and arguably their 3rd bout.

In no way was Marquez robbed twice against Pac.

Marquez schooled Pacquaio in every bout. Only biased fanboys and people with poor sight think otherwise.

The third fight was freaking shutout

Many??? Name them.:deal: pre-prime nah he schooled hopkins who always had trouble with athletic fighters taylor rjj Dawson and pascal.
Btw i love jmm but you're high if you think jmm is on the same level or greater than hopkins. With that said pac never clearly beat jmm and got put into a coma by him.

Barrera, Morales, and JMM, are all greater fighters than James Toney. JMM shades it over Hopkins to my mind. Why do you think Hopkins is better than JMM?

Roy's win over Toney is a better win than ANY on both Pac and Floyd's résumé. So is his win over B-Hop. And let's not forget he lost no more than 5 rounds combined vs those two.

Morales wasn't as good as either anyway, and was old when Pac beat him. Marquez wasn't as good as either, and was dragged up to weights for Floyd and Pac never even beat him clearly. Canelo was drained and green and never as good as either. Pac was old and injured.

Roy's two best wins are better than any on their résumés. And so is his win over Ruiz.

Bernard didn’t have to wait years.

It was Bernard who waited for years until Roy had declined enough for him to fight.
