If he's not ready now when will he be??

He doesn't even have the basics down yet which is laughable considering he's had 30+ fights. Has he forgotten all that McCallum taught him in the noughties??

I don’t know about that. Groves put down Carl Froch who has one of the greatest SMW chins of all time. As far as I can remember Canelo has only boxed Fielding, Chavez and Kovalev at 168+. Fielding’s chin is suspect as hell and Kovalev had been knocked out before.

There aren’t many comparators there but Groves was a strong SMW who used to spar with Haye. I think a prime Groves would hit harder than Canelo but my general point is why on earth would Eubank be scared of Canelo when he went in there with Groves?

And GGG he took some punishment in both those fights really heavy tags in them both shrugged them off and kept going. Canelo would make jnr look like an amateur Eubank jnr is not carrying more power then G and like I said couldn't dent grove's mate. It's all opinions but nah not for me

Yep just opinions, and you make fair points.

For what it’s worth I think Eubank goes 12 against Canelo no problem. I believe his chin is iron. And I’m aware there was a couple of actual KDs against Groves.

If the fight is at 168 Eubank takes him the distance. Don’t think it will happen anyway.

Unless jnr has had a brain transplant he gets pieced up and outclassed.dont think ginger pubes would stop him right enough.

Fairplay personally see Canelo winning by stoppage in six think you're over rating that chin my friend.
Like you said tho this fight probably won't ever happen.

Eubank has lots to learn tho if I'm honest

At least Jr is extremely fit all year round, fair play in that respect. He's a specimen, unlike Saunders.

Eubank has a good chin but Groves should have been awarded 1 or 2 knockdowns against him. If he fights Canelo he will be beat easily. If he comes in alot at Canelo with his poor footwork he will be eating punches all night.

It takes one trainer five years really to build a fighter from scratch in their mould. McCallum, Floyd Sr, Davies, Chris Sr, Pierret, Booth, Vasquez, Hunter and Roy Jr have only had months each here and there. His career, his training has been one big mess.

Sr smiling at Jr wailing away at a bag with 50 left hooks in a row like a madman was rose-tint delusion, he couldn't help but grossly overrate his son.

Jones Jr was actually teaching him things that he himself was taught at 7 years old. That's embarassing.

How to shift weight, keep head off centre etc (off the line)

Think jnr has the speed lacking power tho was hitting grove's with his best shots and bearly moved his chin a millimetre. He's got heart and speed but don't think he's got that instinct. Also needs to calm down and box his own game once he gets tagged game plan goes out the window

Groves was out-weighing him by 20lb. He was never gonna budge him.
