Gonna have to squeeze onto this train, but, Pacquiao for me too. Grandpa Pac should be long retired and yet he's still paddling asses.

Roy didn’t need 4 attempts to beat a guy like James Toney.

    Settle down tubby.

Jones might have the best wins. But Pac has the deeper resume.

Except it was much more like Hopkins bitching out of the fight because A) HE knew he'd lose B) There was DLH and Tito take money out of.

Roy was never an indisputable number 1 in any division.

At MW you could argue Gerald McClellan above him

At SMW you could argue Nigel Benn or Frankie Liles above him

At LHW you could argue Dariusz Michalczewski above him.

I personally wouldn't, but you could.

At HW you could argue Lewis above him. No one would seriously dispute that one.

Well then, nobody was ever undisputed at any division. Some jagoff is bound to argue for someone else .

Not true. There's been lots of indisputable champions throughout history.

During the claimant days if someone beat all of them, which many did.

During NYASC and NBA, if you beat both of them, which many did.

During the days of WBC and WBA, if you beat both of them, which many did.

Add the days of IBF and WBO, not as many have, but people still have done.

Jones was always "arguably" number 1.

If you take Pacquiao, he beat Sasakul when no one questioned his place at the top.

He beat MAB when no one question his place at the top.

He beat Marquez when they were both considered top.

He beat Hatton when no one questioned his place at the top.

He beat Bradley when they were both top.

Do you know how many people have been a lineal champion at 3 of the orginal 8 weights? In history?

    Two.

    Bob Fitzsimmons and Henry Armstrong.

    Tony Canzoneri came close.

Bro, I get all that. You and I just see things differently. Belts and titles and such mean nothing to me. I forget the acronyms for the sanctioning bodies sometimes.

I judge by what I see and who they beat. That's it.

I get that fully, but do accept the argument that Jones never beat the best fighter in his weight class?

Toney was pretty clearly the best at 168. They were both in the pound for pound top 5 at the time.

    What about MW or LHW?

I do think Toney was the best, but he never tried unifying nor did he rematch Nunn.

Beat Hopkins at Middle and Hill at Lt. Heavy. If they weren't the best, they were close.

    Not what I asked.

Hill, Jackson, McClelland all very close at MW.

Hill had been beaten by Michalczewski
