Would Ali vs Fury be similar to Ali vs Norton?

Fury destroys Ali, prime for prime.

Do people even realise Ali was the height of Cunningham at best and far less jacked? He was not more skilled either, Cunningham was a modern fighter in a tough division (cruiser) that equates roughly size-wise to old HW.

Cunningham was not thoroughly outboxing Fury, this is a myth, Fury was landing and countering too, but Cunningham had edged ahead. Fury wasn't used to anyone challenging him boxing wise, that's why he speaks about struggling with Cunningham's speed and skills, but it wasn't as though outside the KD Cunningham was just dominating Fury. And when Fury turned it into a brawl, he ultimately destroyed Cunningham, and Steve admitted he couldn't deal with the size.

This was a very young and inexperienced Fury too. Fury today would be in zero trouble in the Cunningham fight. And he would be in zero trouble in an Ali fight. Even if somehow Ali was óutboxing Fury, Fury could just go into brawl mode and take out the political symbol.

Ali had skills no one's looking too take that away!! But can't see him dealing with a fighter the size of fury especially a man that size that can move like he does. Ali would be a cruiser weight now

And if was the fury from wilder 2 adding power to the mix, then nope not having a bar of it just don't see that

Ali wasn't a modern CW. Maybe at the start of his career, but by the time he fought Liston, he was 211 lbs.

Ali was able to handle some of the toughest punchers who went on his inside like Frazier, Lyle and Shavers without being knocked out. Sure they were far smaller than Fury, but way more deadlier on the inside. And yet Ali wasn't knocked out by any of them, and he beat Frazier twice. With his lack of punching power, would it be in Fury's best interest to go into brawl mode? Wouldn't this just allow Ali to pepper him with more jabs?

Cunningham fights nothing like Ali, and saying they're on the same skill level? From what I've seen, Ali's footwork, movement and jab speed and reflexes are unparalleled in heavyweight history, even to this day, and this cannot be waved away in a hypothetical Fury bout.

Size does matter Ali did have speed and movement but don't think it would make much difference against such a giant fury would just jump down his bean stalk and eat him.

But seriously as good Ali was see him struggling to get in range and get his shots off. Fury is a master at smothering when its needed showed in wilder 2 he carries lots of power at the moment

That's Cruiser weight right there. With rehydration he would have made cruiser with at such a weight.

What do you mean? Rehydration would make him weigh even more.

https://images.app.goo.gl/ZieZHGzmaCN7KS158 This cruiser weight thing is such bull.... this is Ali age 22 yrs a couple of months before Liston fight weighing 218lbs, the pic above was taken same day as pic below, one with clothes on one without, https://images.app.goo.gl/H41GchxERAoUBhtw8 not an ounce of fat on him, my point being Ali could of fought at 218 easily even 220 against Liston at just 22 with no excess fat, he just had a thing about being a certain weight around 212-217 when fighting because some of the fighters were smaller faster and skilled so he trained down from much higher weights to do so, that’s why in 1971 just aged 29 He weighed between 217-229 in a few months over 3 fights moving up and down easily to do so, as opposed to let’s say a real cruiser weight like usyk who is in his early thirties when you naturally put weight on, spending years in the gym adding muscle while using protein shakes and whatever else to scrape 215 that’s the difference here any sane logical person can see the difference, cruiser my arse lol

From 210 he would easily cut down to 200 then gain it back the next day with rehydration. Like every other cruiserweight does... Dont you know boxers cutting water weight?

Usyk at 215 has less BF% than Ali at the same weight...

Prime Ali at 1966 weighed 201 pounds and barely made HW against Henry Cooper... dont you think a prime Ali would have made Cruiser then?

So what? This isn’t a body building competition, just because one mans b f is lower at 215 than another mans at 218 doesn’t make Ali fat especially as Usyk will have used modern training methods and weights along with modern Nutrition to get that way. And as far as cooper 2 is concerned Ali will have trained down like a demon to get that light knowing he was sharing the ring with a fast left hooker around 190-200lbs, just like the fight before he trained down to 215 to fight a 216 fighter in Chuvalo, horses for courses .within the next year he would never see under 212-15 again and still only 24 yrs old. And at 229 a few years later he wasn’t exactly fat, been in better shape yeah, and body fat not super low like some More modern fighters, who we know have taken peds to get to only early and mid 220s your Holyfield and Hayes, who at 22yrs old could have only dreamed of being 218 at 22yrs with as low body fat as Ali that’s the difference between a cruiser and Ali comprede.
