People who are saying that 8 weeks is more than enough time — NO. If a fighter says it's not enough time, it's not enough time. Pac used to do 10 week training camps. He's done 8 in recent fights to avoid overworking himself. Mikey himself said that he would need 10 weeks to prepare for Pac.

"As long as I get my 10 weeks of training that I require for my fight, I think I'll be good to go."

It's a total ***** move from Clenelo that is designed to give himself an advantage over his opponent.

What if Bivol/Beterbiev or GGG sprung an offer to Clenelo and gave him only 8 weeks to get ready? 100% Clenelo would shoot it down.

 

Saunders would have had plenty of time for a full camp. Dude probably knows he hasn't managed his cycle properly

 

I agree it is slightly underhand. But any pro fighter should be ready to fight in 6 weeks in my opinion
