I think that came from his respect for Quarry, Bob. Jerry was a tough guy who worked for everything like Joe did, and he obviously gave Joe an awesome fight first time round. I there was a mutual respect there.

Naseem hamed...could be cruel and mocking and remorseless.

He practically sent said lawal arse over head into the ring side seats in a humiliating degrading spectacle. He broke billy hardys nose in 1 round in front of hardys hometown .he gave prolonged humiliating beatings to long time champions johnson and robinson and coming up he was cruel to journeymen and overexuberant in his privalged skills of speed and power

Of course it all came back on him vs barerra.

Ray Mercer beating the hell out of Tommy Morrison’s unconscious, almost lifeless body, immediately sprang to mind when I read the title. Also when he fought Lennox and shrugged off combos while inching forward. That man was terrifying.

I'll start with Arguello, once he got an opponent hurt, they rarely got a 2nd chance.
Duran. Another fighter that rarely gave an opponent a 2nd chance.
M Hagler after the Antefermo fight, he swore he wouldn't leave anything in the hands of judges anymore. He ment it, because he "destruct and destroyed " . Damn near every fighter after.
R.Leonard. Don't let the face fool you. Leonard had a mean streak. If he got an opponent hurt, he was like a shark in bloody waters.
J Mugabi. Prior to Hagler, put some very tough opponents away.
Aaron Pryor. Totally relentless. Inhuman stamina. Was simply viscous when he got opponents hurt.
T.Hearns. a great finisher, possibly the hardest punching fighter between welterweight and Middleweight.
J.Jackson maybe the hardest punching fighter in history pound for pound. A Kamikaze style fighter, either he got you, or you got him . Once he got an opponent hurt. Fight was usually over.
M.Tyson, a viscous combination of speed, power, and skill. Very few could withstand his Assaults in his prime.
J.Louis, always poker faced, he was like a great white shark. No emotion, just all business in the ring. .
J.Frazier, Bob Foster was his friend. He Damn near killed him. Enough said.
G.Forman 1st career. I believe he actually would've been ok if he actually killed an opponent.
S.Liston. another fighter that probably would've been ok with killing an opponent. He beat F.Patterson well before they stepped in the ring the 1st time. Just a scary dude.
They're more fighters that if they got an opponent hurt, fight was usually over. Name like D.Curry, M Saad Muhammad, M.Spinks at Lt heavy. Of course B.Foster, J Chavez sr. R .Olivares, C Zarate. D.Lopez . P.Cuevas all the dudes were merciless if they hurt their opponent.

I know they're not the merciless of all time, and I can only speak from the era I watched, but kovalev also killed a guy and didnt seen to take his foot off the gas in later fights. He mocked wounded opponents and didnt seem to have any mercy. A far cry from the guy who was ko'd by canelo. Anyways he really struck me a person with no difficulty executing extreme violence
