Floyd Patterson was super athletic. Super explosive and insanely fast hands and reflexes, especially for his size. Pernell Whitaker had insane athletic qualities. So did Camacho, Leonard and Robinson. Jones Jr is definitely my pick though. He should be a lock for number one.

Roy Jones jr. was from another planet in terms of his athleticism.

Yeah, Patterson was amazing. I love the guy; one of my favourite HWs ever. Patterson was really exciting too, his first fight with Quarry, and rubber match with Ingo are bonafide classics. He also had some brilliant performances to win his titles. It's a shame people on remember him for Liston, there was so much more to him.

Yea a lot of people view his career through a lens which is wrong

I wish he had done better against Liston

    RJJ & ALI.
Proof: when their reflexes failed them, downhill from there.

Pac not sure where to rank him- but top 5 for sure as he learned throughout his career- Roach taking him back to the drawing board after getting outboxed by Morales was a work of art.
That right hand he learned...I don't know who else learned something midway through their career. That IMO was not the result of being athletic, rather being dedicated to adding to his boxing arsenal- a more patient Pac as a result. Boy I sure miss those days when he ran in head first!!
Had he kept doing that he may have lost earlier then he did, -when on that 5 or 6 year terror reign.

I put Martinez and Mundine on the list because they were in other sports before boxing. Martinez was a cyclist and Mundine was a rugby player.

Mundine is an athletic freak. Just look at this highlight video.
