And you don't give a damn that one guy, Floyd, was who said when testing started? How the hell is that OK with anyone!?!
Depends on what PRIME even means. Everyone here tends to use it differently. Typically your prime is your physical prime. When your body is at it's peak. I'd say it's 130 for Pac, 140 for Floyd. Many posters use prime ONLY when a boxer looks good. One an be in their prime and look like crap versus some opponents. Just my take on 'primes'.
Mayweather and his camp were very sneaky when it came to those negotiations. This is what occurred before their 2015 bout. "In early March, USADA presented the Pacquiao camp with a contract that allowed the testing agency to grant a retroactive therapeutic use exemption (TUE) to either fighter in the event that the fighter tested positive for a prohibited drug. That retroactive exemption could have been granted without notifying the Nevada State Athletic Commission or the opposing fighter’s camp. Team Pacquiao thought that was outrageous and an opportunity for Mayweather to game the system. Pacquiao refused to sign the contract."
Aren't you the guy who thinks Pacquiao didn't improve between his first and second fights with Morales.
No? I'm the guy who thinks the improvement is overstated, and that the full improvement was a longer process, which happened later. Morales' decline was the reason that result was reversed more than Pac's improvement. Aren't you the guy who thought Pacquiao beat Mayweather?
Tbh I don't think there's a blanket rule. You have to work it out on a case by case basis IMO. Both Floyd and Pacquiao's best was between 130 and 140 IMO, with both apexing at 130.
That's funny becauase pbf would beat that flawed limited and reckless version of pac worse than he did in 2015. Pac was more one dimensional then and would be easily figured out after he realized that he won't be able to overwhelm a superior boxer and athlete in pbf he would have to box and well you already know that won't end well for him as he was thoroughly outboxed by jmm for their 4 fights and against erik Morales. Pbf will always beat pac because he will always be able to control range and dictate distance on him. Also In his prime would have been able to fight off his back foot for 12 rounds against pac if need be another ace up his sleeve that pac would have no answer for.
(1) You are wrong. Pac improved greatly between that period. Better footwork, better strategy, etc. (2) Yes.
Watch the 2015 bout back. Pac's success mostly came from the left straight, which he threw from the traditionally southpaw angle. Mayweather had little answer for those punches. And again, Pac wasn't "thoroughly outboxed" by JMM. Far from it in fact.
Erm, no he didn't lol. What's in that etc? The improvements he made between those two fights was a newly-developed counter right hook, and some slicker head-movement. The fixes to his jab, balance, footwork and IQ came later. Morales fought more or less the same strategy and was very competitive early. Pac's 'sudden' improvement is a myth. It took time. You are wrong. Pacquiao was lucky to win three rounds.
I'd love to go with Pac as I wanted him to beat Floyd in real life. But Pac was beaten by counter punchers at every stage of his career and I'm sure this fight would be no different.
(1) So you are admitting he did make some improvements? And besides, the improvements to his balance, footwork, angles, and set-ups were evident in the Morales rematches, so you are wrong again. (2) He clearly won 4,6, 9 and 10. That's 4 rounds. So again, you are wrong once again.
yep because it was Mayweather who had a cut that wouldn’t heal in 6months and needed to build a stadium for the fight
