Old Foreman wasn't an accident waiting to happen. He was a champion way past his best who achieved an absolute great victory.

All I'm saying is Baer vs Old Foreman is a slugfest. Those kinda fights are hard to predict.

I agree, but he would have been an accident waiting to happen, if Lewis had ever got hold of him!

I don't see that .. Foreman had an outstanding, punishing jab , was a much stronger, much smarter, far more complete fighter .. I think George really beats him up.

But remember how much he'd declined since his prime.

Yes. You need to watch more Braddock.

If anyone could hurt Foreman early, it's Baer!

He's also much slower, more stationary, has shorter reach, less stamina and was unable to finish some of his opponents due to lack of speed.

Old Foreman got worse of Steward in a brawl, even though he had all advantages over him. Baer could and likely would hurt him and unlike most opponents he could sustain a beating for a bit. He was extremely durable.

I'm afraid that it's Foreman who would have to box against Baer.

Also, Baer wasn't just a come forward fighter. He gave up space a lot of times, he was crude but tricky to fight against.

As I said before, it would be a shoot out and that makes it hard to call.

Morrison and Cooney couldnt stop his progress I doubt Baer would do appreciably more, and there's always a chance ,Baer decides its not a place he wants to be.

Neither had Baer's chin though and Cooney was just a shell.

Which version ? The one that fought a prime Holyfield could still seriously fight.

Braddock was a hobo. Foreman would have crushed him. Any version of Foreman and Im not even some huge Foreman fan. Its just a horrible matchup for a guy who was very limited, could only fight one way, and used his face as his defense.
