Why would you think that? Braddock was a world heavyweight king at one time. How many fighters accomplish that?

Plus Braddock beat such punchers as Max Baer and Tuffy Griffiths.

I’m not breaking new ground by saying in many ways the second incarnation of Foreman was better than the first. Polish, smarts, confidence, stamina based on relaxing in ring ... I feel this version had far more than enough to take the absurdly limited Baer or Braddock.

Doesn't matter how aesthetically pleasing one is on film.

It's about whether or not they're good enough to win the fight.

It's very rare someone makes a claim that Old Foreman is better than Prime Foreman.

As for the actual two fights.

I would favour Old Foreman against Braddock but not by as much as I'd have favoured Baer against him so an upset is possible, especially against someone who will be jabbing and moving.

As for the fight against Baer. I'd be very surprised if Old George could go to war with Max Baer and win.

Foreman was very limited himself in his second career.

    Braddock<Old Foreman<Baer<Young Foreman

    For me it's clear.

Tuffy Griffiths might be the worst name in boxing history.

I like that name. I wish more boxers had it. But he had 68 KO's out of 74 fights I believe, so he was a puncher!
