No boxer probably has more endurance and technic but strength would probably go to the MMA fighter wrestling alone

    Apples to oranges.

Stick a boxer under pressure from leg kicks and takedowns they will gas out.

Stick an MMA fighter in with a pure boxer they will gas out.

Physical pressure and mental pressure which you are not familiar with makes you work harder

Strength is proportional to size. In fights workrate and stamina is more important than outright strength.

You can have the strongest dude ever, but he doesn't pace himself he will gas out and be a sitting duck.

This is where Khabib is extremely strong in MMA. His in fighting strength and work rate is tremendous probably unmatched. This is achieved from a lifetime of hard work. Same applies with Fury. Can't contain these men.

This is an excellent reply, you are thinking along the same lines. MMA grappling probably requires more overall strength since the legs are used for lifting (but this might not be true since legs are naturally strong because you use them every day, so a boxers legs might only be a little weaker so overall strength could go to a boxer). Where as top level boxing clinching requires your upper body strength to be top notch.

An example of overall strength going to a boxer: there was a time that Shannon Briggs trained in an MMA gym for the first time, and the MMA guys described Briggs as being as strong as an Ox

    You must be clueless.

Beterbiev, in a clinch, would get MAULED by those guys.

They're Olympic level wrestlers. Beterbiev is 175lbs. These guys aren't Gvodszk.

    No no no and no!

you can get away with not being the strongest in boxing.

strength means a lot more in grappling which is a big part of mma! The clinch and facing control requires slot of skill but strength.

If any 154lb boxer try to grapple with Khabib, they'd get manhandled.

It really depends on the type of fighter. Some boxers can have better upper body strength than some strikers in MMA, but not against good grapplers.

Do you think any boxer in the history can out-grapple Aleksandr Karelin? Not a chance in hell.

Depends what kind of strength. Fast-twitch muscles in the upper hemisphere I'd go with boxers...and likewise for stamina in the core/lower extremities (spending far longer continually on their feet ..sometimes effectively 48 minutes straight, minus the stool breaks - whereas even championship MMA bouts only go 5x5 and on average they spend less than half of that standing). MMA having wrestling and other grappling disciplines as its base component involves a lot more strengthening of the hips, neck, and the arm muscles involved with the mechanics of pulling.

It's not about the duration of standing, it's about what happens DURING he duration.

MMA fighters take obscene leg punishment from strikes, then factor in the fatigue. Different ball game.

In general, Boxing fans ALWAYS mention 36 minutes. 5x5 is more brutal.

Povetkin and Wlad isn't really the best example lol.....

Describing Povetkin as a kickboxer yet he was also an Olympian boxer of course stretching back to his amateur days and had been a pro for years before stepping in with Wlad who had a weight, height and reach advantage as well as always being known for his clinch game.
