I wonder how much you can actually improve him, he's pretty much all lead hand (jab and hook) against decent opposition, some roughhouse tactics on the inside and he goes to the body when a guy shells up. I don't think he'll really improve as a boxer, the most important thing is getting him into shape, so the change might not hurt him as much (gameplans and the quality of his corner is a question mark).
With the recent epidemic WADA testing went down 90% and Shyte is still training in Portugal, away from UKADA, we'll probably see both him and Povetkin showing up in the best shape of their life...

For me its usually quite easy to see a fighter when there on PEDs and when there not.

It usually comes down to it in the ring, when one fighter is how you would naturally expect after 11 rounds of a hard fight, absolutely shattered and hardly any power in there shots.

Then the other fighter is tired but still has ridiculous strength and power in comparison.

Realistically, who does Hearn and Matchroom want to win this? I say Povetkin as Whyte losing releases Fury of his 2021 mandatory and that means the AJ fight can happen ASAP after Pulev and Wilder III. I would expect the main support for Fury v AJ to then be Usyk v Povetkin in a final eliminator for an undisputed shot.

I can see Pov out boxing him for the majority but slowing down due to his age and getting mauled then stopped

From what I remember he said something along the lines of he hadn't spoken to or heard from Dillian apart from being sent some spreadsheets and he doesn't work like that, my immediate thought was the spreadsheets referred to Tibbs' fee for the upcoming fight ie if the PPV does x number Tibbs will receive Y and so on. Not sure why they would want to start using spreadsheets for training based stuff when from Tibbs' tone they don't seem to have used that method before, Who knows though .
Sounds like it couldve been handled better from DW and hard to have too much sympathy re the 1000 days stuff if he acted like that imo.

Could well have been financial things. I have no idea why they would ask for financial spreadsheets from a trainer.

But... Could well be for tax reasons, or something like that, so yeah, you could be right, I did say I may be wrong, I think we will find out sooner or later.

Spreadsheets are used in sports science, the way Tibbs said it and then said "I don't do all that" made me think it was something to do with sports science because surely he has to send out invoices for himself services anyway because he would have to pay tax.

I don't think Tibbs works cash in hand, but it could be they wanted itemised bills or invoices, hours, general expenses and all that and Tibbs was saying he isn't messing around, he just sends a lump sum bill.

Either way, I agree,it could and should have been dealt with better, it's not a good look for Whyte.

I’m positive the ‘spreadsheets’ would’ve been data downloaded from training sessions. I think Tibbs is more your bread and butter type trainer and not too interested in analysing numbers and delving into the sports science side. Whyte is one of many boxers training to a specific optimum performance module.

He'd be better off working on his technique.

That’s what I see aswell but if Povetkin is on the juice then he can send Whyte into deep waters, and without a proper trainer in the corner and no crowd - he could well struggle. It’s definitely a more interesting fight in these circumstances, Whyte needs to be careful.

Fair point, but it doesnt excuse Dillian from the streets getting his lawyer to sack him.

Don’t know much about Whyte’s new trainer Xavier Miller. I know he runs Neasden boxing club and has worked a corner under Don Charles a few times.
