Why wouldn't Lomachenko school Floyd?

He's an aggressive southpaw with quick educated feet and better ring IQ than Floyd. Why wouldn't he apply his pressure and box Floyd on the front foot? It's not like Floyd has some killer punch to stop him from doing it.

    NoMasChenko UD. Possibly No Mas.

It's hard to predict such a fight, either could win.

Floyd would have ducked. Same way he's keeping Duckvonta Gayvis from Lomachenko.

Prime Floyd was a beast at 135. He destroyed Corrales, in a fight that most expected Corrales to push Floyd HARD, if not win.

For sure Floyd can hurt Loma if he lands but I can't see Loma hurting Floyd.

It's easy for you to predict.

Lomachenko is a more modern fighter.

    Floyd was so 90s.

Because Floyd would never get his ass kicked by an over the hill fighter that people would call a cherry pick like Lomachencko did. Do you guys purposely play like you forgot that Siri is his pappi. Salido was out all night drinking and still beat the hell out of Vasyl in front of his Soviet daddy. Arum regrets letting his hype job get a thorough Mexican beating and spoiling his chances of being crowned a phony champ.

When I use the term modern fighter, I usually mean those that came after 1980.

Because Floyd is bigger, taller, longer and faster than Loma?

Yes, most of Lomachenko's opponents were bigger than him, but not by as much as Floyd would be. Loma's top weight is 135. Floyd fought all the way up to 154.

He struggled getting past Campbells lead arm, all he had to do was leave it extended and angle out, and Loma was resorting to potshotting until the 4th round.
Loma adjusted, but Mayweather is one of the best at readjusting mid fight.

When I watch Loma, I think he tends to use feints to close distance against bigger fighters, and I don't see a world where Floyd bites enough to allow it to come into mid or close range.
If he's not in range Loma isn't manipulating his balance, so he can unload a flurry.

I think Loma could win the fight, due to his lightning straight left, that he just instinctively knows the range with, I could see Mayweather eating a lot of them, but then I thought the exact same thing for Pacman.
Does Loma cut off the ring better than Pacquiao? Maybe, but I don't think theres much in it.
If you can't cut off the ring, and close the distance against Mayweather, you're not beating him.

Also I'd wager FMJ hits almost as hard as linares.

Floyds kyptonite isn't small fast southpaws with good ring IQ (see Manny Pacquiao), it's taller guys who can catch him moving, who are also willing to get messy on the inside.

Even if Loma won, there would be no domination IMO.
