That is the whole point of a forum. The thing is that there seems to be 3 schools of thought without much variation. Either the it's the belief that the current best are the all time best, the past fighters are the all time best or finally objective criteria are used rank accomplishments in an historic scale. The problem is far
They = anyone calling Loma Usyk Joshua or fury all time greats. There is zero criteria that can be used to validate this therefore they invent their own that they only apply when it serves their argument. Typically these people also have a victim mentality regarding American fighters. This is not uncommon and I think you know that

Makes no sense. None are American. I think Fury and Loma are very likely all time greats. Fury has 3 of the best ever HW wins (including the draw) and Loma has one of the best resumes over his weight classes ever. Loma is also clearly one of the best technicians ever over those weight classes.

Joshua and Usyk I'm less convinced by

People will always have different viewpoints though, I have no issue with that.

Loma has one of the best resumes ever?

    What the actual ****.

He hasn't once fought the next best in any division.

My answer is yes to all of the above, but I'm in the minority, that's my point.
Plus I take into account peak form when rating boxers, many don't.

I feel he's the most overrated fighter on this board.

    Minority according to who?

I'd say 4 of the most common 5 choices for Goat are Robinson, Langford, Armstrong or Charles, all of which have lots of losses at the end of their career.

I'd say Ali and Louis are almost everyone's pick for 1 and 2 HW ATG, both have past prime losses.

History tends to focus on what a fighter achieved.

Let me guess, his past prime losses put you off?

Many people do think he's the best to ever do it.

No, I feel he's way overrated because he beat a faded Tyson and because people don't realize that part of his success is due to steroid abuse

Even before he started getting ko'ed I never ranked Roy as high pound for pound as most others, great no doubt but not that great.

He lost most of his fights when everyone knew he was well past his prime. It didn't affect Ali when he lost to Trevor Berbick neither did it Tyson who lost Kevin McBride.

Neither Ali nor Tyson were one-shot ktfo with one punch in the 2nd round by a man they were favored to beat who’d they’d just beaten in their previous fight.

I don't think retiring before a loss or before decline makes someone's legacy change. If that is the case the legacy was not strong at all. What is Leonard retired after Hagler? Tyson after Spinks. Hagler after Hearns.
