That was not the point. At mw canelo since he beat "that bum golovkin" he has done nothing. Should be striped of his titles what a joke canelo is at mw
Yes, that was the point and you got roasted. Now you're going back to kindergarten comments. Golovkin has zero wins worth mentioning in his entire career. His first step-up was against a blown up Light Middleweight and he lost. Alvarez already moved up in weight and is aiming to accomplish real greatness. He's not staying in one division devouring hopeless bums and begging Welterweights and Light Middleweights for free paydays his entire career like Golovkin did.
First Covid pushes it back since you need the live gate. Then Canelo will get popped for tainted beef, get a six month vacation and the fight will get scheduled sometime after Glovokin is forty.
I respectfully disagree, Scar. I don't think it's a matter of what either guy has done since. To me, it's the fact that boxing lost all of the would-be momentum it could have obtained from the Fury-Wilder rematch, and right now we still have no big fights on the horizon. A few months back before the lock down, I wasn't really interested in a third fight. But now? I think it's the type of fight boxing needs to re-energize the base. Canelo still does need a solid dance partner, and while he has options, it's not as if his options are unlimited. Plus, with the controversial nature of the draw, and Canelo winning a razor thin majority decision - it does have an unfinished business vibe to it all. I am actually more interested in a 3rd fight right now than I have been at any point since their rematch.
ROFLMAO It wasnt long ago the Ginger Nutt was claiming to be WBC world Middleweight Champion but he was really only a 154 fighter. That guy will regret his juicing in later years
Golovkin should take on another challenge. They were very evenly matched. Good fights but I want to see something else. I'd like to see GGG take on Saunders.
A third fight would not be worth watching Kirk. We know Canelo will only fight in Vegas because he simply will not be allowed to lose there. I've loved boxing all my life but Ive never seen it so blatantly corrupt as it is today. They dont even have to hide it either The State Commissions rule it in their state & they are in it up to their asses themselves. Ive had a couple of guys asking me recenmtly if they should turn pro. I reluctantly advised both not to though both could be successful. Trouble is neither has any $$$$$$ or influence behind them & thats what wins fights & titles as much as talent
Canelo's only official loss was to a blown up jr light weight that should have lost to Jose Luis Castillo and got slapped around by Marcos Maidana.
The fight should be great although GGG is aging and adjusting to a new trainer, but as everybody knows, if GGG don't knock him out he loses.
