Well Hope and Wright are quite similar, with Hope having better power\offense and more aggression, compared to Wright's greater defence, countering and durability. Hope had his success in that fight when he boxing and pumping out the one-two's.His abandoning the jab nad getting too aggressive was what really cost him.I tend to see Wright doing better in a similar sort of fight, but ultimately losing a 3-4 point decision.
Benitez would be too fast & mobile for Winky at their best at 154, both had great defence but Benitez speed & counter-punching ability would see him land the cleaner blows throughout & a bit more of them too. Winky would be hitting air most of the night & his slower punches & that high guard robotic style wouldnt be hard for Benitez to solve IMO, he`d see Wright`s punches coming before Wright decided to throw them.
I'll take Winky of the Mosley fights. I think he'd time Benitez with his jab and was much bigger and stronger.
Wilfred Benitez outboxes Ronald Winky Wright and wins by a unanimous decision. Better reflexes, hard to hit and got stronger at 154 lbs as evidenced by his knockout of Maurice Hope in 1981, after the bout Benitez winks back at Wright as the other eye is closed for Winky.
