The first couple guys that come to mind are Joe Frazier and Jake LaMotta.

They faced the best mover their divisions ever produced and had real success against them where other greats didn’t.

Chavez: Camacho, Lonnie Smith and Meldrick Taylor were way faster than him on the feet but he was able to wear them down. Whitaker should have won against him but Sweat Pea was comfortable on the inside with Chavez.

Lamotta is a bad example because he was outboxed countless times

    Henry Armstrong
    Joe Frazier
    Julio Cesar Chavez
    Prime Roberto Duran
    Harry Greb
    Roman Gonzalez
    Jeff Fenech
    Fighting Harada

Not an aggressive, swarming type, but I can't see him being properly out-boxed below 175, and that's Tommy Hearns.

I hate to be that guy, but that wasn't Tyson at his best. I'd say an example of Tyson dealing with a good mover is his fight against Holmes

So we can't use an active 24-year old Tyson, but a rusty 38-year old Holmes if fine?

That pretty must sums up how Tyson fans argue about his career imo.

A 38 year old rusty Holmes is a poor example

What's more is that he also had big issues with Tillis' movement.

IMO Douglas was a protege who put it all together that night but each to his own

Tyrell Biggs and Carl Williams are better movers than Douglas and Tillis.

Chavez was arguably the best ever at walking down a runner
