One of Pacquiao's greatest moments in his illustrious career where he was an 8 division champion, became lineal champion 5X, became the most times and oldest welterweight champion, and beat down a big, undefeated, prime, hungry young lion.

The last thing I'd describe Thurman as in that fight was,,,a prime hungry lion. I thought he was tentative, and fought like he was facing Pipino Cuevas instead of an older smaller fighter

Thurman came out swinging and immediately went on the attack at the opening bell. He was doing great until he got dropped and was much more aggressive than in the Garcia or Porter fights.

I still can't believe Pacquiao dominated Thurman like that.

Okay. That doesn't change the fact that Thurman came out guns blazing and was aggressive the whole fight.

A great win though it also punctuated how Thurman has been a bit of a disappointment.

He didn't dominate him the second half of the fight was close. Pac won though.

Thurman remains the second most accomplished welterweight w/ wins over Danny and Shawn.

True but that has to be taken into context. He was injured had a long lay off and looked like **** in his fight before pac. With that said it was still a good win.

Can't knock it from Manny's end, but the fact Thurman, Spence and Crawford have not fought each other (and indeed probably missed that prime-for-prime window), there is no way to measure who the best is at 147.

From Collazo to Porter, Thurman went

days and was almost KO'd by a shot-to-smithereens Collazo. From Porter to Garcia, Thurman went

days. From Lopez to Pacquiao, Thurman went

days (or 6 months, which is the norm for big money fighters).

Lopez almost KO'd Thurman, but Thurman won 10-11 rounds easily. It was almost a shut out and he just got caught. So Pacquiao actually fought a Thurman with no lay off like Porter and Garcia did.

And Thurman had enlisted the help of 2 strength and conditioning coaches and claimed he was in the best shape of his life. And judging based on how he looked strong in the second half, it obviously worked.
