Where's the response to the Gomez footage? Where's the response to Byrd rematch , Peter and Sanders vs Douglas?? duck duck duck
You only returned to this thread to correct somebodys age , ducker.. Why do you run away from so many debates?

Read this , Sanders was old out of shape and unmotivated when he fought Vitali , but he was also injured to his hand.. Was he able to spar? Produce proof he as able to spar?

Sanders only lost to Vitali cos he was old , out of shape and injured. . The first few rounds suggest a prime Sanders would have pelted Vitali around the ring.

Trevor Bryon is ranked #1 by the WBA. . Alphabet rankings don't mean anything.

Yep - earned via a dog**** of a fight. Lost his ranking the next fight against Ibragimov.

A bout in which Shannon 'Fine Wine, After 10 Years Since Being Relevant' Briggs landed less than 50 punches.

But all of that is academic. Anyone who thinks even a Briggs in his prime was better than Pinklon Thomas is wrong.

The 2006 version of Briggs was a veteran shadow of himself.

the 2010 version of Briggs was shot to ****.

But not after 98 which was 12 years before he fought Vitali.

Briggs made a brief appearance, due to his win against Liakhovich, in 2006.
Ibragimov put paid to that with ease, but Briggs announced his retirement, immediately after that Loss, anyway.

Last year, there were rumors that Briggs was going to make another comeback.

By the logic of some people on this forum, he should, because another 10 years added onto Briggs career would make him better than Holmes.

And he when to the hospital. Briggs put on a lot of weight and muscle, he was more durable in his 30's than 20's.

    Briggs manager:

"He trained for this. He was 100 percent ready mentally and physically, but I wish they would have stopped it around the eighth round," Cohen said. "I love Shannon. He's like family to me. As a human being, he is much more important to me than as an athlete. So it was tough to watch.

Liakhovich put a pasting on Briggs for 11 rounds but I thought Briggs closed the show impressively in the very last minute.

He was totally finished against Sultan when he turned up as a 270+ bloater who could barely throw punches.

" Briggs was not ranked after 98 " -McVey.

Um, Briggs was ranked 5th by RIng Magazine in April 2007

I wonder what Tonto62 and Rainer think now :)

Bumped for Man_machine. Care to answer?

10 easy question for you. A yes or no will do. Try to limit excuses and spins.

1 ) Do you think Holyfield beat Ruiz in the first fight? I say Holy should be 0-2-1...vs Ruiz.

2 ) Do think PED's had anything to do with his trasformation in body tyes from 190 to 210-220?

3 ) Do you agree Holyfield performed worse vs common opponents that Vitali fought?

4 ) Holyfield is 1-4 vs Lewis and Bowe on fair cards. Don't you think Vitali could at least do this well?

5 ) How past it was Mike Tyson? The 1980's version vs. the 1996 version Holyfield beat?

6 ) Can you admit the draw with Lennox Lewis was absolute bogus?

7 ) How much does getting Ko'd by a 5'10" non punching blown up middleweight at age 40 factor into this debate? Toney was in his mid 30's and fat.

8 ) Where would you rank Moorer, in the top 50 if he's even there. He's 1-1 vs Holyfield.

9 ) Do you agree that Holyfield was a dirty fighter?

10 ) Do you agree that Holyfield had trouble with bigger men in shape with skills?
