Strong. Even with Usyk and Hunter moving up. Not as strong as when they were in it and guys like Huck, Lebedev etc were also there though.
The truth of the matter is the best of the cruiserweights really belong at heavyweight and would irrelevant if there was no home for 210+ pound cruiserweight who cuts down to 199 so it's weak by default.
Top five. A few years ago it had a good claim to be the best division in boxing, but now that Usyk, Gassiev, Hunter and Lebedev have left it (Huck it seems too) it's become a bit thinned out, and I'm not massively sold on the up and coming guys just yet. Still, any division with Briedis, Dorticos, Makabu, Glowacki and Csielak in it can't be considered weak, unless you have no idea who those guys are. In which case GTFO of this thread.
The top 15 is solid, but it's a thin division after that. There aren't a lot of active cruisers in the world.
Even if the division is weak, it´s still fun as hell. Most title fights end up being brawls/wars. So it has that going for it. It´s basically the heavyweight division if we went back in time a bit. Just the perfect weight for the most fun fights.
