Tell me how good Peter looked to prove he was still in top form? You can't , because he was a complete mess. The footage overrules your dishonesty. Peter couldn't even beat a fat barrel shaped Eddie Chambers in his next fight. He was finished.

McCline was unranked and picked on short notice.. He came within a hair of stopping Peter in the first 2 rounds. Peter was lucky McCline gassed out , otherwise he would have lost by early stoppage.
He beat ranked Oleg who was also way past prime. Soon after , Oleg was stopped in one round by Nagy Aguleria.

You should probably take some time out from using the Internet - or, as you so charmingly put the suggestion to other posters, "Log off." (I'm guessing this could be a symptom of Internet Addiction - a bit like using acronyms to insult people with).

Perhaps you can spend some time watching the 2010 version of Shannon Briggs in action. It shouldn't take long, he only saw approximately four-and-a-half minutes of action, in a three-year-plus period, before being let in with Vitali.

Perhaps you might have the time to come to realize just how far gone he actually was; that Briggs in that state was unlikely to have been a prominent Heavyweight force, in any era (let alone being one in the late '80s). You know? Try using the real world for context, rather than the fantasy world you have created here and in your head?

You never know - it might even help with your proneness to making strawman arguments.

Peter was one of many champs in a weak era, nothing special at all. Not a great win by any means. Got outboxed by middleweight Toney the first time and no name Chambers. Got knocked out down 3 times by limited Mc Cline.Seemed washed up already by the time he faced Vitali too. Chambers gave him a lesson in his next fight.
