Pretty good chin. It's not as bad as people say it is. He can get hurt, but he recovers fairly quickly and always fights back.
I don't know what the fuss is about the height factor. AJ is 4cm taller than Pulev and was 1lb heavier against Wlad than Pulev against Chisora. In some peoples minds every boxer has to be exactly the same height and weight. Thats not the reality.
The shot he took from Wlad was massive. You basically have to go down after taking a shot like that regardless of who you are.
Not true. Wilder doesn’t have a literal touch of death people like to say he has. Remember he caught Molina, Arreola, Duapas plenty of time and didn’t spark them till later on. As if Wilder could take a two piece combo from AJ without being put on his ass. AJ would TKO him Wilder doesn’t have the chin to take AJ’s big shots either.
That's his recovery ability. Not his chin. Of course his chin let him down. He couldn't take the punishment and his corner pulled him out. Parker has one of the most solid chins in the division and he spent large portions of their fight running from Ruiz. Reason? Ruiz is extremely dangerous on the inside, and Parker was getting beaten up every time he tried to engage. Ruiz is a blob but there isn't really anyone else like him in the division right now. First fight: Joshua made a tactical error and got caught. Ruiz was good enough not to let him off the hook. Second fight: Joshua knew he had to keep Ruiz on the outside and trained to do just that.
He got KO'd by a guy that couldn't KO Sergei Liakhovich and Raphael Zumbano Love, you sure about that?
Wilder got KOed by a guy who couldn't KO Francesco Pianeta and Zack Page. Neither man exactly flatters in this area and Joshua has undoubtedly fought the bigger punchers.
