I think there was a case for a DQ here? If ogilvie didnt get up from the first one it would have had to have been. Then he did it again -- sure Richie Woodhall described it as "naughty" -- it was a bit more than that to be fair!!!
agreed. relentless for sure but he wont be able to take flush shots like that from DDD. He is a hard man but nobody is walking through clean shots like that from DDD.
Joyce was okay tonight. Think with no fans you could appreciate his punches better. Sometimes you watch his fights and think his punches look pitiful at times...with the sound off...you start to realise these are decent shots hes actually throwing. Think hes ready made for dubois tho. Far too open. Hes pretty much constantly open...you cant really afford to be like that against dubois or anyone with power. Hes been a knockout waiting to happen from the start tbh. They,ve just concentrated on overwhelming opponents...the problem with that is you will eventually run into someone smart enough to make you pay for it....either smart enough or have the power to make you pay. Dubois falls into that second category. Hes not a murderous puncher but if your open like joyce is or you go forward without much thought into it...its only a matter of time before he gets caught. I reckon atm in time their about the same level. As in they,d probably beat the same level of opponent but joyces style should stay away from someone like dubois. Can see him reeling at some point in the first four rounds. Be pretty early after they lose their cageyness. interesting if he can recover tho..and try to drag dubois deep. Cant see it tho....think dubois in under 6 rounds. You,ve got to stay away from dubois and frustrate him....to beat him. Pretty much the opposite of joyce then.
The guy that answers the questions needs time to type them and upload them to the hard pressed Pentium 1 processor which powers Daniel's responses. Upgrades required.
I think he meant Tom Schwarz. He was fishing around for something positive to say about Wallisch and he came up with Fury having fought a German recently.
Is Lucien Reid still fighting after his loss to Foster? Him vs Chris Bourke could be a good fight for the British. Assuming they dont train together
I was surprised he didn't get disqualified to be honest with you. He even acknowledged it the second time he did it, haven't a scooby doo how the ref missed it but there you go.
Good point re Joyce's punches. Last night I realised Joyce has a bit of bite in every punch he throws. Considering he throws more punches than any other heavyweight I the world, it has to be said that he can make waves in the division if he can somehow protect that head. I have this sneaky feeling that he could break Dubois. Given his age and amateur career, it's fair to say he's the more experienced boxer and athlete. Dubois hasn't had the heat turned up on him yet. I feel it's either going to be the first setback in Dubois' career or concrete evidence that Dubois is destined for greatness because Joe Joyce is going to give this fight everything and he's a very tough man with a relentless attack.
Tragic stuff really isn't it. Rawling is such a part-timer, doubt he knows any fighters outside of those in the mainstream.
I wonder, when the current situation is over, whether you could have an option for muting the crowd noise or having additional mics ringside to pick up the sound of the fighters and trainers better. I'm certainly enjoying these shows much more than I thought I would.
