I tend to lean towards that. I give both fighters a good chance. I think that no matter who wins, it is an unparalleled war of brutality. Both fighters take each other to hell before the fight is over. Although I think Foreman could beat him, I don't like the idea that Frazier takes the same pounding he did in Kingston, Jamaica.

Frazier would probably hit the deck a few times. Foreman might go down once himself. Frazier decked a lot of very tough guys: Bugner, Ellis, and of course Ali. And none of those guys were floored very often.

You once told me Satterfield was 5'11". He was 6'2". And the photo of him and Williams is also subjective. Satterfield could be elevated for all we know.
For the last time: Bonavena was 5'10 1/2", and Frazier was 5'1".

The outcome might be influenced by the referee. If it's a referee who takes a dim view of Foreman's pushing Joe off, that greatly helps Joe as George wouldn't have been able to tee off with those big uppercuts and looping hooks which were so devastating. He'd have to land his jab or move nimbly to the side or back to stop Joe getting up close where Joe wanted to be. Now I don't think George was the mummy of Ali's jokes but if Ali wasn't quick enough of foot to stay away from Joe, then neither is George. So if George has to effectively jab Joe off he has another couple of problems insofar as his hands weren't that quick and Joe was very elusive in FotC.

The outcome of the actual fight that happened makes it hard to reverse the result. Foreman was so dominant, the burden of proof is on those arguing a case for Joe. But put Joe in better shape (ie FotC shape), physically and mentally, combined with less lenient refereeing and it's not impossible to envisage Joe giving George a much tougher fight and George was pretty green in early 73. There's a reason he was a 3/1 outsider before the fight. That was largely based on how good Joe was v Ali. Gawd knows he'd done very little in the interim to bolster his reputation but it's the FotC version of Joe that we're being asked to consider in this thread.

Arthur Mercante reffed both fights, didn't he? An observation rather than a relevant point.

Foreman destroys any version of Frazier in a one sided fight

Just search Bonavena and Frazier and you could see photos from weigh in!
It is very simple!Even before the fight start at staredwon you could see Bonavena taller than Frazier!

Satterfield was never 6ft 2 because Cleveland himself was 6ft 3/4 and he was clearly taller 3 inches!
Satterfield was 5ft11!Satterfield looks lower than Williams at weigh in and in the actual fight!
Bonavena was clearly 6ft Monzon was 6ft 1 and Frazier is 5ft 11!
Wikipedia and boxrec coould lie about actual height!

But that wasn't FOTC Frazier was it? That was Jamaica Frazier. That being said I think Foreman would've been a nightmare for Frazier even prime for prime and simply had his number, but your comment isn't doing anyone any favors.

I am going to go out on a limb and say Foreman's lack of speed (at least relative to Ali, and other oppenents of Frazier) was in a way beneficial against Frazier. One thing people don't seem to mention is that Foreman's punches weren't nearly as quick as Ali's, Ellis's Quarry's etc, so when Joe would bob and weave and came back from slipping/ducking a punch, Foreman's hands would still be around Frazier's head and that would upset his rhythm.
