Do you deny that Byrd said Oquendo had the best defence?

You're going to have to provide a source for that claim otherwise it never happened.

You're a guy who says Vitali beat a slicker boxer than Byrd called "Magee". . What Byrd said in that picture could be completely different to what you are claiming he said.

Haymakers are only useful if they're fast and accurate enough to connect in the first place. Johnson's weren't.

Johnson's legs stopped working in the second round. Zero lateral movement, as he became a static target.

All Vitali had to do was step and lean back to avoid Johnson's 'telegraphed yesterday' punches.

Had Johnson been in better shape and looked liked he'd trained a bit, he might have made a better fight of it. As it was, he was at his career heaviest and looked it.

Don't expect much when talking to Dunning. Byrd himself during the fight told his corner, you try to land the right hand on Vitali. He was behind big time on all three score cards and surprised he won.

He lasted 2 rounds. Could not take Vitlai's power or aggressiveness.

And he was put down quickly. It's not like Vitali was floored or rocked, which is what happened to Holyfield vs Bert Cooper who wasn't exactly in shape either or close to the caliber of Johnson.

Cooper actually was in good shape vs Holyfield he had scored a big win over Joe Hipp about a month prior and came in at 215 which was a good weight for him. Much like Ruiz coming into the first fight with Joshua after having just fought recently. Cooper Who I’ve seen you on occasion mention his fight with Sanders for example weighed in the 240’s vs Sanders. He had quite a bit of time to prepare for Michael Moorer and weighed 225. At 215 Cooper was in shape if he wasn’t he wouldn’t have been able to take that battering for seven rounds

    No - he didn't.

He could not move, more like.

Anybody with a dig would have had him out of there in no time. Johnson turned up to be beat.

Vitali did what he had to do, but his performance was not particularly special.

Cooper lasted 7 round vs Holfyield because Holyfield wasn't a puncher like Sanders was. Looking back 215 was a good weight for Cooper, who was just a journeyman with a some pop who was stopped 16 times. Cooper was stopped 5 times before facing Holyfield. He was a sub in who made some noise.

Hipp is probably his best win at heavyweight.

Either way such a opponent should not be able to trouble an ATG in his prime, which he did with Holyfield.

Yes he did stop him in two rounds. "Vitali Klitschko 250 lbs beat Kirk Johnson 260 lbs by TKO at 2:54 in round 2 of 12

You didn't say Vitali stopped him in two rounds, though.

I'm quite aware Johnson was stopped inside of two rounds, by Vitali.

Good job by both Vitali and Holyfield.I have a feeling that version of Cooper would obliterate the whale.Johnson would not be able to move much and Bert could clip him on the inside
