Tyson Fury went over to America and beat their undefeated world champion (heavyweight).
In boxing terms, that's "conquering America".
There's an incredibly short list of British heavyweights who've ever done that. We're talking one or two.

Also, there's no reason to discount the last fight. That's happened now. The win was emphatic and I have no reason to doubt it was successful as a commercial venture - if that's what you're interested in. It was dual broadcast ESPN PPV and FOX PPV. There's really no pleasing you if you would consider that a nothing event. In an age where boxing no longer has as much traction in the USA as it once did, that was a good result.
Fury beat Wilder twice really, and he's as popular out there as Wilder ever was, so that's got to count.

Joshua deserves a ton of credit for getting straight back in with Ruiz Jr. and winning his belts back.

He definitely doesn't get the credit he deserves for it.

It's a fair point, AJ has been in the ring with better guys than fury has, simple facts.

    No fact. It is debatable.

Fury is the one who beat the younger, more active Klitschko who was at the end of a legendary title reign. Their best win is the same guy and Fury's was head and shoulders better.

As for their #2 fight, I would agree that Whyte or Ruiz is better than Wilder, but that is a highly controversial opinion.

Joshua certainly does better in quantity.

I would say it is something that can fairly be seen either way.

Joshua does deserve some credit for getting in the ring with Ruiz again, but we mustn't forget that Ruiz was in terrible shape for the 2nd fight. I mean, he was in terrible shape for the first fight too, but by his own admission he didn't even train for the second fight. Let's not forget, Joshua should not have been in the situation of having a rematch with someone on the level of Ruiz, if he is as good as he has been sold to us.

Loads of fighters have rematches with opponents they're miles better than.

I don't know why boxing fans seem to have a blind spot that upsets happen in every sport including their own.

And it was against the most limited champ of the last 30 years.

No blind spot here, the point still stands that he should have despatched Ruiz with ease, but didn't. It's more the manner of the upset which sticks in the throat, and the level of opposition.

It would be the equivalent of Manchester City getting beat 10 nil off Accrington Stanley, which quite frankly would never happen. Which would also suggest that Joshua may not be at Manchester City type levels, more perhaps Scunthorpe United.

If Joshua is talking about levels of opposition, then maybe he needs to look in the mirror and get his blinkers off. He simply shouldn't have been tested against Ruiz at all.

So whats your opinion on Lennox Lewis?

Considering he got chinned by TWO far inferior opponents

None of them were as out of shape as Ruiz, plus Lewis himself was out of shape and and didn't take the fights seriously as he has admitted on numerous occasions.

Plus, I think Lewis would have beaten Ruiz quite easily, even when out of shape. He almost certainly wouldn't have been knocked down four times and then given up.

Again, going back to Joshua's original point on Fury not being tested, Joshua simply shouldn't have been tested against Ruiz.

Just my 2p anyway, I know it's all just bluster from Joshua against Fury.

Mayweather shouldn't have been tested against Maidana, Pacquiao shouldn't have been tested against Horn, Tyson shouldn't have been tested against Douglas, Lewis shouldn't have been tested against Rahman yadda yadda yadda. It happens.

Ruiz is easy to target because he's a tubby fat lad but he arguably should have been an unbeaten world champion himself after the Parker fight. Parker himself ran Whyte desperately close, possibly to the point where he should have won. All things being equal Man City 0 Accrington 10 comparisons just don't work.

I think Ruiz is an easy target because he was the fella who knocked the supposed best heavyweight in the world all around the ring, knocked him down 4 times, and made the lad quit.

I think you need to take heed of your own advice mate, you've got a bad blind spot for Joshua.
