    Sweet Jesus. Mongkol Charoen was one tough boy.

    He did actually suffer a knockout in some weird comeback he attempted fourteen years after his retirement, but holy hell.

    Seen kids in Thai MuyThai gyms smashing those vertical poles with ropes round them with their fists, elbows, and shins.
    Tough as old boots, and the size of school kids here.

    What those tiny mites can absorb is frightening.I've been there 5 times now I have a couple of mates married to local girls.I always go to the fights.

    I think that Bones Adams was 18 when he fought Canizales. He took a pounding early, got himself together and fought hard until Canizales broke his jaw, I think, in the 11th.
