Is this an accurate career map?

Here is how I see it.

Usyk will fight anyone, but he is going to get squeezed out by Joshua and Fury, who would rather fight each other, especially if Fury wins, as Fury has said that he will not fight him. Also, I don't think Olexander will have a long career, because he is already 34, and can basically live like a king in Ukraine for the rest of his life based on the money he has made, and his fame. So...

    1. Beats Chisora. I don't see how Del Boy has a chance.

    2. Picks up the WBO belt, after it has been split off when Joshua decides to fight Fury first, against Jospeh Parker.

    3. Has a big money fight against a safe but interesting opponent like David Haye (who is retired but was recently talking about fighting again) or Andre ward (who is also retired by said once that he could come back for a crack at the heavyweight crown).

    4. Makes one additional defense against the best that he can get in there, which will be Wilder or Ruiz.

    5. Retires.

    What do you all think?

    1. I agree. Hes gonna bear chisora one sided

    2. I agree joshua will drop the belt and usyk vs Parker will happen . there is several articles parker mentioning fighting usyk for vacant wbo belt

    3. Lol what david haye?? No way in hell come on man haye would never get a shot .

Now ward . ward has always said he would move up to heavy for the right heavyweight.
Although this in my opinion is far from likely .

I hope you right. Usyk vs Ward is something id love to see...

4.. I can see ruiz fighting usyk. But i cant see wilder vs usyk ...

Heck i can see ruiz , dubois or hunter but not wilder

5 . retiring? I think he will fight joshua before his career is over . they were destined to cross paths ... One way or another they will fight.
Both 2012 gold medalists it will happen

I think those are a lot of fights for a guy who has basically fought once in nearly two years.

People have been anxiously waiting for Usyk's heavyweight run.

Nobody has been standing in his way. The WBO would rather give up sanctioning fees for Joshua defenses if it means handing Usyk an easy belt.

Usyk is being treated with kid gloves by the WBO and people are still waiting for him to do anything at heavy.

I will be surprised if Usyk actually fights Chisora, who no one rates higher than ninth.

I've never seen a career path prediction that actually turned out accurate.

Not sure where you have been but in case you haven't noticed, there is a pandemic keeping people form fighting. Also, Usyk had an injury and a couple of cancellations, like Sprong, that were not his fault. Not sure how all of this translates into him never fighting four more times, but hey, thanks for your always fascinating opinions.

It is not traditional to take a soft defense?

Almost every champ does it, by my calculation. But thanks for the input.

You are correct, and yet it is so much fun to do.

I have my concerns about him being able to fully maximize.on his potential due to his age as well as politics. Largely inactive 2019 due to injuries and Covid in 2020 have been thorns in his side. Hopefully will be able to make up for lost time next year though. Chisora and Parker after wouldn't be bad. Also Whyte/Povetkin winner would be an interesting fight too. The winner of that fight isn't getting their shot anytime soon so why not?

Oh of course, if he wins a HW title id envision a soft defence, as you say they all do it

I just cant see the people you suggest being the chosen ones

God ,id actually hate to see Haye take that shot, I used to enjoy him so much and it would be awful to see the manner of how that fight would turn out right now

I was distraught after Bellew 1 for gods sake lol

    Well, now I am curious.

What are some names of some big, money making soft fights that you can envision?

I came up with those two because I couldn't think of anyone else.

Usyk v Parker for the WBO title is quite likely

    I favor Parker

I think all sports, boxing included, have to accept the COVID-19 situation is not passing quickly, and adapt to sport without spectators or sports happening in bubbles where the country/region has almost eliminated the virus.

Usyk needs to get Chisora done in October and be ready to go again sooner rather than later. Both he and Wilder are seeing their windows closing during this period.
