What’s Yarde got that sets him apart from Arthur?

    Might as well retire.

The worst version of Kov ko'ed him with a jab (laughable), the top boys will demolish him, he hasn't fought in ages, and he's back to fighting polak roadsweepers.

Time to retire and enjoy the loot.

I don't think Buatsi beats any of the champs either.

Not yet but I think in a few more fights beterbiev will move up. Buatsi and Bivol will be the two who then run that division

I thought Arthur’s jab and movement was good last night, happy to trade on the back foot with 1-2’s and a nice uppercut thrown in.

I couldn’t quite work out if last night was for him to get rounds in or if he lacks pop behind his punches? I felt like he was lazy at times and if he’d put his foot down and pressed for the stoppage he would’ve got it

He took some unnecessary shots last night and I think someone like Yarde could take him out if he’s not careful.

it’ll be interesting to see how Yarde deals with Arthur’s jab and 1-2

He just looked like he was getting rounds in to me, bud. Didn’t really respect Spelman’s threat at all. He treated him almost like a sparring partner where he was practicing how to move off the ropes. I thought the finish was there a couple of times but he didn’t seem interested in putting it on Spelman and was instead content to get 12 rounds in. Before that fight he’d only had 43 rounds and 12 of them were in his last fight.

He looks better technically than Yarde. He’s got height and reach advantage and we know how Yarde lacks on the jab instead choosing to throw a lead left hook with it. My only doubts are how much is he boiling himself down to make the weight at 29, and does he have another gear.

:deal: He's ****ing God awful. He's massacred by Yarde, Buatsi and most savagely by Callum Johnson.

Arthur has got a nice jab and basic 1-2 and good power in the straight right hand.

However, If he fights on the ropes against Yarde for sustained periods, he will get broken down as he hits to hard especially to the body.

it’s a very good fight, but I expect Yarde to win by mid to late stoppage.

let’s just hope that everything comes together for the PPV in October, as the card is shaping up quiet nicely. There’s noises that there is a good chance for Bentley v Heffron to be added for the British which is tasty.

Why do people keep banging on about Kovalev's jab against Yarde?

Yarde was exhausted, that's why he was knocked down.

Because it neutralized and perplexed him for the vast majority of the fight. But Arthur's jab is not Kovalev's.

Its the same people who used to claim he was ducking Burton, when Myself and some others pointed out that Hosea was all talk and not a serious boxer. I think that’s being proven correct as he is nowhere to be seen or heard and left Hearn after turning down the chance to fight Buatsi.

It’s also the same people who said that they would eat their hat if he went to fight Kovalev in Russia..

Because when do you see a supposedly world class talent get stopped by a jab?
