But he was naturaly bigger and bulkier than Foster!
Ellis was also SMW/LHw who fought very well at HW!
Foster is like Satterfield=MW who went to LHW and then tried HW!

He was bulkier but shorter. Pretty much everybody Foster fought was “bulkier” than him even at or below 175 pounds. Jones was only a HW because he chose to be. He could easily make 175 and proved it mere months before facing Foster. Name me a fighter Foster fought at any weight that wasnt thicker than Foster. Regardless, the point stands, Foster wasnt 0-8 against HWs and some of the HWs he fought, like Jones were nothing more than LHWs masquerading as HWs for bigger paydays.

Foster was as thin as a guy could get and still be a light heavyweight and still be great. He just didn't have the legs to take the heavyweight punishment. Pencil legs he had.

At the weigh in for Rondon during the interview he says he has to drink beer to keep his weight up.

I can see this fight pretty much going like FRAZIER-FOSTER bout of 1970. just Because Quarry went 0-4 vs Ali & Frazier, he was pure hell on everyone else.

I remember reading that Foster drank beer but never could make the weight, but never bothered to watch the interview for the Rondon fight. I've always wondered if Foster could have succeeded at heavyweight had he actually been able to scale up 10 or 20 pounds.

    You noticed that too?
Jeez, his legs were seriously skinny showing how small he was even at LHW!
Ellis was LHw ex Mw but even he was much bigger than Foster!
Foster legs were so skinny compared to Frazier legs when I watched their fight and could clearly notice how Frazier is bigger than him!

First time I watched him was vs. Frazier. The first thing I noticed was his legs!

Pencil legs vs. Frazier's super-thick legs

Quarry in his prime wins this unless he's badly cut which could happen. I think he's a bit too sharp in his counter punching for Bob and had a good chin. Jerry's likely stronger too. Quarry in seven or eight rounds.
