Haven't heard from Hernandez in a while.

Side note, Kevin Johnson should start his own Heavybag manufacturing business, and call the heavybags Kingpin.

Then promoters can just hang a heavybag in the ring and their fighters can punch it for 10 rounds, and they can say they went 10 with the Kingpin.

They'd meet about as much resistence, actually. And the Kingpin could continue to serve as a punching bag for decades.

Could be bigger than the George Foreman grill.

I'll be rooting for safety pin here. The only crime he's committed is spoiling and not fully living up to his potential. He contributed to the sport as a solid journeyman and trial horse for upcoming talent, he still does in fact. YPH despite winning a world title hurt the CW division by blatantly ducking opponents. His fights like Kingpins weren't very good viewing either.

I am going to be optimistic and say that this is a former heavyweight contender against a former cruiserweight champion.

And in any event, it is a boxing match.

Never expected Hernandez back in boxing, thought he was done for good.

Pretty sure he still knows how to cheer if/when he makes it to the final bell.

Does anyone know why Hernandez stopped boxing years ago? He was obviously a vulnerable guy with plenty of flaws, but he was also the Ring Cruiserweight champion with some good wins under his belt. He was low key climbing the all time rankings at 200lbs. But then he just...stopped.

BTW. his half brother is Yoel Romero, the greatest physical freak in mma. How is that for genetics?!!

In 2015 he suffered a rupture of the meniscus.
