Does anyone think Bruno was ever in a good fight? I kind of enjoyed the first Tyson fight. The first round was wild, but the fight was painfully slow after that. The McCall fight was a good boxing demonstration, but not a great fight. Has anyone seen the Coetzer fight? The only fights of Bruno's I would say were classics were the Lennox Lewis fight, and what I consider his best fight-against Floyd Cummings.

Bruno-Lewis wasn't bad. Frank actually fought okay for a little while.

Coetzee and Ribalta were great knockouts and his match with Lewis was good, he was several rounds up with Lewis and appeared a sure points winner only to get caught which was to become synonymous with Bruno throughout his career, avoid the early onslaught and you were sure to catch him in the later rounds. I would say his most impressive fight was his victory over South African Gerry Coetzee, which was an eliminator for his bout with Tim Witherspoon.

One of Frank's best performances was the quick win over Gerrie Coetzee even though Gerrie looked somewhat gun-shy in that one. The Bugner showdown was a big event which received a lot of media attention, but Frank wasn't particularly impressive iirc.
Bruno showed some vulnerability and then heart in the Floyd Cummings fight to win it. Carl Williams, Pierre Coetzer and Jose Ribalta were reasonable wins. The McCall title victory was Frank's biggest win.

Most of Bruno's better or more interesting fights imo were ones he lost though such as against James Smith, Witherspoon, the first Tyson bout in '89 and Lewis.

Frank was a big figure in the sport and popular.

I never cared much for Bruno. He was far too tense and the jab often missed its mark. Not a survivor either.

Jumbo Cummings and Bonecrusher Smith were fun. Tyson/BrunoI always had a buzz to it.

Oh ya, Bruno won by a 20-round decision after flooring AJ 14 times.

Never much cared for Bruno so my favorite of his fights are probably the ones where he got knocked out, haha.

He did put up a helluva spirited scrap against Lennox Lewis. I’ll give him that.

I never cared much for him either. Far too stiff.
