How much did Beterbiev weigh when he campaigned up at HW in the amateurs for those last couple of years of his amateur career?

    About 185-187lbs

Is someone who weighs 185-187lbs in the ring fighting in a division where the limit is 201lbs a natural HW?

That's a lot of weight to be giving away

Is someone who still weighs about 185-187 on fight night now a HW?

The observant among you will have noted that many of the above fighters are former SMWs

    Adonis 189 against Bellew
    Kovalev 189 against Pascal
    Gilberto Ramirez 195lbs against Karpency
Eledier Alvarez 187 for Kovalev albeit his trainer said he was 192 IIRC
Chad Dawson 191 - HW Glen Johnson 189

    Crawford at 135

    Crawford 149 - Klimov 140
    Crawford 152 - Gamboa 145
    Crawford 153 - Beltran 147

    At 140

    Crawford 155 - Lundy 151
    Crawford 155 - Jean 155
    Crawford 157 - Postol 152
    Crawford 157 - Diaz 161

Horn weighed about 155 against Crawford, Crawford was coming in at 157 when he was down at 140 at least four years ago and since his last fight at 140 he'd been working with his S&C coach adding muscle, size and just getting heavier

    Per his S&C coach

''We've trained harder since his last fight, putting more weight on him - good weight - putting some more muscle on him, and just getting him bigger, because we've always know he was going to have to move up in weight eventually, so that was a big part of it - just getting him heavier''

''He has easily put on 10lbs of muscle all the while by maintaining speed and athleticism.''

Here's Crawford weighing in the ''60s-70s'' range so probably bare minimum at least the late 160s and as you can see he still looks very lean and in fighting shape

That idiot didn't know the difference between HW and SHW in the amateurs either. And good statistical breakdown. As I said in prior posts SMW-LHW is full of huge guys who cut a significant amount of weight due to the gap between those divisions and CW.

No one as slow as Beterbiev is beating Charles.

He'd probably beat the Charles before conscription. He'd probably beat the older Charles after Walcott sparked him.

But the best version of Charles who was close to unbeatable would not lose to Beterbiev.

Not really beterbiev is a big 175 pound fighter just like those other guys you mentioned as well. It doesn't change the fact that beterbiev is a big 175 pound fighter and crawford isn't a big 147 pound fighter.

Yes HW in the ams = CW in the pros and Artur was coming in way below the HW limit in the ams

The fact is if you actually read the thread instead of selectively zoning in on posts that agree with your agenda we probably wouldn't be having this conversation. The guy who's comment you liked slandering me accused Beterbiev of being a weight bully who picked on LHWs and potentially CWs in the future. In reality the idiot doesn't even know the difference between HW and SHW in the amateurs. He brought Crawford up by saying Beterbiev unifying 175 and/or CW would be less impressive than Crawford unifying 140. Which is totally ridiculous. Other than that I have not been talking about Crawford at all in this thread. As for Beterbievs size it is not unusual for SMW-LHW as I and others have proved in earlier posts. You should learn to think critically more and fully read posts.

There's no agenda here for me i have nothing against beterbiev and think he's exciting and great for the sport. Im saying that he's indeed a big lhw thats it. You're the one who's too emotionally invested looking for stuff that's not there.

"He fought at 200+ in 2012 and you think he's great for beating up on 175 pound men now? How?

He hasn't fought a single fight at his natural weight yet Your fantasy about him unfiying the light heavyweight division would be no more impressive than Terence Crawford unifying 140 at this point. Maybe even less so.

If beterbiev was American you'd be calling him a weight bully/fraud and you know it"

You wouldn't have liked that post then. Which is full of falsehoods and slander towards Beterbiev. Or you just liked it because of the dig towards me at the end, even though the person making it was on the losing side of an argument. Either way you're full of it.

Beterbiev is not any bigger than an average champ or contender at 175. Hes a normal sized LHW. Hes only 5'10" which is short for LHW. But he is solid and extremely strong.

Before his last fight, nobody really even knew if Beterbiev could beat Oleksandr Gvozdyk. Now he's getting votes against someone who has a STRONG case for p4p best fighter of all time?

No way his listed height is true. Kind of like how Hagler was listed at 5'10". I'd put my whole 401k on it that he is not 6ft.

If Gzozdyk is 188cm (6ft2) no way is Beterbiev 6ft. Look at this picture for comparison, there's clear at least 3" plus height difference between them. Beterbiev is around 5ft10 barefoot and 6ft in shoes. He isn't that much bigger than 5ft9 George St Pierre, with whom he is very good friends with.
