Excluding Canelo and JMM, which performance do you feel we saw the best of Mayweather for the very last time?

I hate to say it because I despise the man, but mayweather could have fought well into his 40's with success much like hopkins did. We most likely would have seen him lose a few close fights but he has the style and boxing knowledge for longevity. I would argue we saw prime mayweather up until his retirement. Maybe not in the sense that he was in his physical prime, but the results of his fights speak for themself.

Didn’t he say one time that when he fought Corrales that he was in the best he’s ever been?

I think his best performance was making this dumbass old excuse making crying fool cj cry in every boxing thread on this forum that his name is brought up in. Pbf lives rent free in cjs head but he's too stupid to realize it. He ruined boxing for him for an entire era while simultaneously ruining his life in the process. Lmfao!!!!

Berto as well. There were moments in that fight where you could see just Floyd buying some time, meaning nothing was really happening. Floyd would just do a few feints and take his time to recover.
But he easily boxed for 12 rounds, constantly moving as if he were 28 not 38.

As someone mentioned earlier, Floyd could have fought into his 40s.

For me Prime Floyd is 130-140. Think he looked slower at 147. Definitely slower after he retired post-Hatton.

As his athleticism faded, he improved other aspects of his game to stay on top of his game.

For example the Floyd that beat Corrales would never have beaten Canelo.

I would say Gatti. After that he KO'd Hatton and Michell and that was it.

Probably Hatton but a fall off from that height is still a high point compared to most fighters.

"Floyd could have fought into his forties" is a true statement.

"His true prime was over before he reached welter" can be (and IMO actually is) as well.
