Fairly average for an ATG world class operator but nothing special at the highest level

Most of his stoppages came from RTD/TKO. An accumulation puncher rather than a flat out 1 hitter quitter

His punch placement, counter punching style and timing were brutal. His TKO over Pedden was savage.

But was he known for 1 hitter quitters? nope.

6.5/10. Amir Khan level power. He'd keep you honest.

His 1 inch riodquez punch over Pacquiao who basically jumped into the punch was an outlier stoppage.

Anything above 7.5 is surely restricted to un-disputable power punchers which Marquez is not.

Guys like GGG/Canelo are 8/9 out of 10 punchers. Marquez is not in this league.

His brother hit harder and I don't just mean P4P either. Had Rafael detonated one of his right hand bombs on Manny's mandible section the later would've been sucking that canvas for hours not minutes.

For a years-long featherweight champion? Pretty damn good! At his most potent weight class, what would you think of comparing him to say Cotto at welterweight? He's a puncher. He's not a Hearnsian puncher. But a puncher.

Nah that's not right, Khan arm punched, at least Marquez through his technique sat on his punches, turning them over properly

Pacquiao is cut from the warrior cloth. In fact, not only does he not have nightmares, but he pretty much begged Roidquez for a 5th fight who pretty much said he didn't want to risk losing only to lose to Bradley.

Chemically-enhanced Roidquez most definitely punched harder than Cotto at welterweight.

Lets just hope he don't remember the KO nor seen the video of it, but hey, live by the sword, die by the sword. And after 2/3 robberies JMM suffered by the hands of judges depending on your take, it was the fairy-tale finish to one of the greatest rivalries ever: the better man standing.

Great puncher.. Not Jackson or hearns but he sat down well on his shots and his accuracy and ability to walk you into them made them worse.. At feather especially his punches were crisp.. And just cos he banged out pacquiao at welter doesn't mean marquez hit harder at welter than he did when he was younger either.

Marquez trained for the shot. Manny was careless
