Pathetic. Every time there’s a genuinely good fight they raise the price and then all the other crappy PPVs stay at that price. The next one will come along and it’ll be hiked again and become the norm.
Because of the fake narrative that he will just fight anyone. When in reality he wouldnt fight AJ or Pulev or Hunter (lets face it he deserved fight before Povetkin).
Guys you cant expect Whyte to fight for 400 or 500 grand..... If you want to see this future hall of famer you just gotta pay for it....Get your mates round etc etc blah blah
The pudding has earned nearly £50m of the Queen's notes and a purse of £40k is more than generous for this non elite Lineal PED Pudding Title Fight on Eh Day's Lawn.
I know HEarn could sell ice to eskimos but this is his greatest achievment imo... Whyte still looks almost like a novice while earning PPV mega bucks,i cannot get my head around it....
It's been such a long time since I've been able to watch a good heavyweight scrap live that he's getting my money. No questions asked.
It's the direction we're going in that's the problem.. Froch was great under Hearn.. very fond memories of the Bute, Kessler and Groves fights. Brook vs Porter fantastic too, another highlight of mine. Always liked Hearn back then.. 5+ years ago. No complaints about the way Joshua was handled as well.. until the Ruiz fight. Possibly the first fight he had where boxing went out the window, and the idea was to 'crack' America. I'm almost glad it backfired. Hearn having to fill his Sky PPV quota has seen him get quite creative in recent years. Brook vs GGG was borderline scandalous. Bellew vs Usyk a joke and Bellew vs Haye outright farcical.. and Whyte as a headliner is perhaps the greatest trick he's pulled. Again, just because they've somehow been able to pull the wool over people's eyes and earned some good cash for these awful fights, it doesn't mean that it's ok. People who care about the sport should be pointing this stuff out. Every time Whyte gets his bag of PPV swag for fighting a has-been or a never-was, boxing loses. Hearn has said before that a boxing match needs a good story. The way he's going that will literally be the case, just like WWE. People will eventually stop caring about it as a sport.
Considering they fought Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali multiple times.. I'm sure they would. Maybe not against Oscar Rivas.
Probably and Wilder Fury £25 as well I think, although that was on BT. I know there has been more expensive ones but I think this would probably been the same price had it not been for Corona.
Breaking News on Sky that Whyte and Pedvetkin have both been tested per the protocols for Covid19 - both had positive results with absolute confirmation that both are puddings full of PEDs.
Seriously who pays for Whyte PPV’s? I wouldn’t have thought there were enough casual fans who cared to pay to watch him but he seems to get 300k buys.
