    Everyone should note that Rummy placed me basically in the middle of the chart of participants, which means either he wanted to spotlight me or I’m this board’s equivalent to Alice of the Brady Bunch.

    I don’t love the Zarate ranking. I personally feel 8-10 is the ballpark but I realize many/a few rate him slightly higher than me. All in all not a bad list for a consensus. Thanks @Rumsfeld and the 24!

    Just out of curiosity does Manuel enter into the conversation at 1-2 for anyone? I rate him at 3 and match the consensus. Just wondering if any one rates him higher or brings him into the discussion there?

    edit: sorry Manuel Ortiz is who I mean

    People really don’t rate Zarate here. 52-0 (51 KOs) before moving up and losing to an all timer. 10 title defenses, all won by KO. Beat very good fighters in his defenses like Davila, Martínez, Ferreri, Zamora, etc. Beat solid fighters in his quest for a title shot like Amores, Torres, Jimenez, etc. Completely and utterly dominant throughout it all. A head to head nightmare.

    But he’s overrated and Pascual Perez isn’t?

    Sometimes people see things differently.

    Some see Ali in the 70s as good as Ali in the 60s.

    Some see Zarate as not a proven ATG
