    Biggest name in the division.
Plus the rehydration clause Canelo is demanding is the same that the IBF mandates for it´s fight. Which is a good thing. Actually every fight should have that written in. Would stop some guys from putting on 20lbs.

Easiest name in the division. Fishnets and co carefully calculate every move of Clenelos career. It's a joke that people pretend otherwise. Duran moved up the weights in an ATG way Clenelo moved up the weights and won belts in a manufactured way.

Still a good win, but I agree with you.
But I would like to state the obvious again, that Kovalev was the biggest name as well. Something DAZN needed of Canelo. They already gave him a freeby with Fielding.

And you can´t deny that Canelo has always taken risks as well. And he will continue to do so. Just in a calculated way. Sort of like Ray Leonard did.
Few men are as ballsy as Duran.

It's a lot easier to take calculated risks when the ball is ways in your court. There are and have been lots of fights capable of what Clenelo has done - they just don't have his backing.

Beating everyone at 168 wouldn't exactly be an impressive feat considering his size and frame. He fights Beterbiev in his next fight and he'd get an early retirement from the sport.

Am I alone in being basically unable to understand the OP?

Except Beterbeiv, Bivol, Johnson and Gvozdyk if he ever makes a comeback.

Benavidez is real good, but he's 50/50 with Smith, Ryder and Saunders. He hasn't done **** to prove otherwise.

give us a technical break down why?

here’s a techincal breakdown why he wouldn’t, for a start he backs up when he’s pushed back in a straight line making it easier for beterbiev to get him on the ropes and pound away on him.

Beterbiev is the bigger puncher more accomplished fighter more experienced and is a fully fledged lightheavy weight.

I actually quite rate benavidez but he’s light years away from beating beterbiev, even last night Angulo was able to push him back onto the ropes and pressure him also benavidez likes to throw combos in close as his defence artur will use his stronger much better jab to keep benavidez at perfect range then get inside and pound away and make Benavidez Look ungainly David drags his feet as well.

Benavidez will really struggle with someone who can back him up constantly.

The sad truth is that in the end the guy with the best chance of beating current Canelo is the guy who already did but is now middle age. I would have thought Smith had a very good chance until the Ryder fight, but now it seems like he just has a chance. Maybe Groves should come back and lure Canelo with 80 000 and expanding the Canelo ''brand'' to the UK. GG has the speed and power to do real damage. And his tank isn't any worse than Canelo's, arguably better. At least Groves could go for the KO and has the hand speed to possibly land enough bombs. If it was held in London, the British corruption might help balance the Golden Boy corruption.

I see it completely different. If anyone is getting pushed back here it’s Beterbiev. Benavidez is actually the bigger, longer man, with a busier, faster and harder jab. Beterbiev would struggle to get into the range where he does his best work. His preferred range might not be the best place for him anyway, Benavidez has faster hands and is a much more fluid combination puncher. Throws a nasty left hook to the body. Been a fan of Beterbiev since he ran Cloud over but he’s outgunned here.
