Nah he is an arrogant douche bag and is being exposed by some media outlets in Australia now. It has come to light that he wasn't paying some key members of his team and they have now walked his strength and conditioning coach Dundee Kim says he was never paid once by Horn. This is the quote from Kim below.

“I did ask for [money] after the Pacquiao fight,” he said. “Before the Pacquiao fight, I said, ‘Jeff, I can help you (for free) until you’re world champion. But after [you become] world champion, I need business with you.’ And then somehow, it didn’t go well.

Also Horn's first major sponsor that allowed him to be a full time pro was dropped and discarded by Horn once he became famous.

After the way things went down before and during the Zerafa rematch most Aussie fans have woken up to Horn's cheating ways and hometown advantages in the state of Queensland.

Geoffrey Horn is an unskilled anti boxing journeyman. He is NOT Fab 4 worthy.

The last elite level Australian fighter was probably Jeff Fenech decades ago. I don't count Kostya Tszyu because he's Russian NOT Australian.

Meehan isn't Australian born either. He was probably one of the better Australian based fighters of recent memory. Certainly as far as the higher weights go.

He got shafted here... Fantastic fight though. Meehan wasn't elite but he deserves respect for not ever going the Horn, Green or Mundine path and conning the Australian boxing public with poor-mediocre overpriced domestic matchups.

Plenty of good boxers, but rarely anyone world class.

Two Hall of Famers, Fenech & Tszyu Sr and two undisputed champs, Tszyu Sr & Vic Darchinyan, during my time following the sport.

That's three A-level guys by my count. It would be kind of greedy to ask for any more than that at this point.

Okay to say Tszyu Sr & Darchinyan weren't Australian, but they did fight their whole professional careers out of this country. They also fought their final amateur tournaments here which is why they elected to fight here professionally.

Turning out three A-level guys who reached the apex of the sport one after the other is decent going when you consider where Australia is geographically positioned in relation to the rest of the boxing world.

It also goes to show that you don't need to be born in Australia to become the King of Australian boxing. You can be born in Siberia or the son of a petrol pump attendant in Armenia & still be in contention for the title.

That's why becoming the King of Australian boxing is a much more prestigious title than say, the US Presidency. The potential field of candidates is much deeper & wider.

We've always produced a steady stream of solid B-level guys who have had decent careers as well.

Some, like Katsidis, were born in Australia. Plenty of others weren't.

Not sure what people are getting at with that point. It's kind of irrelevant to a Horndog v Junior Tszyu thread in which both guys were.

Neither are A-level guys, but nor are any of the best fighters in the world at Junior Middle.

I think it's b/c of Horndog's uncanny resemblance to King Joffrey from Game of Thrones.

People have trouble telling them apart.
