Fox Sports are doing an all access doco on Tszyu & Horn in the build up to the fight called "Fighting Words" it premiers on channel 503 Tuesday night.

 

* Mornington Jayde Mitchell has revealed he turned down a showdown with the formidable
Artur Beterbiev . The fight would have netted JD $ 200 000 US . JD has said he hasn't
been keeping fit during COVID 19 in Vict and six weeks not enought time to get ready.
JD also turned a big payday with Callum Smith before and there is a Aust connection
with AB as Blake Caparello did a training camp with him before his last fight.

Opetaia and Light appear to be on a collision course to face one another. Is there a demand for a fight between those two over in the land down under? I for one would love to see it. Domestically a great fight - Kiwi vs Aus that could do well of it's built properly between two of the better CW prospects in general.

 

Just read that Kambosos has pulled out of the fight with Selby due to a pay dispute. Very disappointing.

 

Negotiating tactic maybe? Fight is over a months off.

 

Possibly, I read Hearn wanted to reduce his purse from 150K to 100K

Even Australian boxing royality Fenech thinks Rushton is a total joke. Worst major coach in boxing.

 

The last couple pages say it all about why hardly anybody bothers posting in this thread that is masquerading as some kind of aussie boxing thread here,that the resident oxygen thief @MidniteProwler and the other usual suspects suck each other off while throwing around continual lies and ridiculous baseless allegations.

 

Let's be honest mate this thread,despite being a memorial thread,is unfortunately heading towards the same embarrassing fate as previous, similar threads on this forum for boxing in this part of the world.
There a few genuine and knowledgeable posters in the thread imo which is why i check in occasionally but overall the last couple pages outside of a handful of posts by juppity etc,show the thread is nothing more then a vessel for the same few posters to boost there likes counts by repeating the same negative lies and bull****.

 

Seems a bit hypocritical given the language used here and in the past.

At 264 pages and one of the best regional threads on the forum seems to be going ok.

 

Agreed lots of good discussion in this thread. I'm a traveling vagabond from a foreign land that has been accepted with open arms here. Only a few very bigoted individuals dislike me.

 

* Hornet has put on alot of muscle for Tszyu fight under new conditioning coach Chris
Murkert . Its no secret Horn strategy is try and hurt Tszyu early and bludgeon his way
to victory.
Two of Aust best ever boxers seem to be in the Hornets corner.

Good insights there from both Jeff Fenech & Anthony Mundine.

I feel the same way. I lean towards Horn both b/c of his ability & experience.

It will be a great win for Tim the Toolman if he can pull it off.

 

Tim all the way for me, Horn's finished at top level but is still a dangerous fight for an up and comer like Tim

Tim on points and weathers an early headbutting barrage from Horn.

 

Agreed apart from the suggestion that Horn was ever a "top level" fighter.
