He must be in the argument with Ali, Charley Burley, SRR, Duran and the likes.

Like... seriously, does this guy have cut out pictures all over his wall of Margo?
This obsession is bigger than some hick republicans have with Trump...
    And I live in Florida....
    Which says A LOT.

The condescending tone for this quoted post isn't meant for you. It was a reply to a know-it-all who didn't know what he was talking about. But I think it definitely covers why Robi didn't fight the Murderer's Row.
I assume you mean the Leonard-Hagler rematch? Since Leonard definitely didn't duck Hagler before they fought, as he was in retirement with a torn retina. No-one around him was happy about him returning to the ring, and after being dropped by a fringe contender in his first comeback, they were proved right. He only fought Hagler coz he believed he could beat the version that fought Hearns, Mugabi and of course, Leonard himself. The rematch didn't come off as Leonard was a bit of a diva with the purse splits (iirc).

I don't think either one can seriously be accused of ducking others. And I'm not a fan of either, especially Robinson.

The only one being condescending here is you bro.

I liked the post, I'm just saying how much perspective can change these things.

When it comes to calling the greatest, it's fine margins, and very subjective.
Depending on your perspective you could make arguments for and against almost anyone in the top 30 being the best, and if it comes from an informed place, it isn't silly or ridiculous.

I didn't say any of what I said was my opinion, I'm showing that even the careers of the very best can be skewed, and most of the arguments people make have some element of truth to them.

I know I know bro I didn't mean it for you. It was for someone else a long time ago and I couldn't be bothered editing it. It just had the stuff I wanted to show you in it.
    Completely agree.

Ah I see I misunderstood the first line my bad bro.

Yeah you're quoted post does some it up perfectly, but this is my problem with some of the Mayweather deniers, you look at the circumstances around Burley, and I think it mirrors Mayweather and Margarito in a lot of ways, but small aspects like that seem career defining to some people.
Even the SRL Hagler fight mirrors the MayPac fight in some ways, but Floyd recieves much more stick.

I feel like Floyd coming to prominence in the age of online media, meant every part of his personal life and career was exposed, and people realised he was a dick, but the reality is, a lot of top boxers throughout history have been dicks, fighters are wildmen at heart.

I feel like fans who can't seperate the sport from the drama, would've talked down SRR career massively, had his whole career been in the online age.

Guy was a woman beater, a diva, arrogant, and always liked to have the odds in his favour.

    Just like Mayweather.

    Doesn't change his status.

Btw I agree with you on this, but I feel the same way with Mayweather.

I still wish and think that SRR should've fought Burley, he had fought bigger guys by 1946-1947 but it was probably too much of a step in class up at that point, and there was still time post 49 but obviously the fight wouldve lost some of that attraction by then.

That's gotta be one of the weirdest top 5s I've ever seen regardless of order lol.

I'm not being a dick but what would your reasoning be for Charles Burley potentially being the GOAT?

SRR was a piece of **** too.

Why does he get a free pass but Mayweather doesn't?

I think any Robinson after the one who fought Burley all the way to his first retirement beats the breaks off Burley TBH. I find it weird when people talk like Burley would've beaten Robinson.
