Heavyweight fights are miles better when they juiced up anyway. And I don't know why everyone gets on their high horse about it either, especially when most of these same people idiolize fighters like Tyson and Holyfield.
I'm not sure she does tbh. I'm sure she brings in OK numbers but that's about it. The idea that Katie Taylor is this huge superstar in Ireland is just something Sky repeat over and over and people take in without it really being true. It's like Adam Smith saying they would be dancing in streets of Ireland when Taylor won a world title, as if she could sell out stadiums and do huge PPV numbers all on her own over there, but Sky and Matchroom don't do this because.....reasons. Instead they had her headlining a mid-week show at York Hall in front of 1,200 people, half of whom had left by the time she came on. So given how much Whyte and Povetkin are getting paid, the rest of the card and the fact they have no crowd, I could actually see Matchroom loosing money on this one.
