Jack Johnson would be wrecked by RJJ and you're coping if you think otherwise

The point is that johnson had much more stamina. Period.

Ketchel, who was in the ring as a middle weight dropped Johnson. I'm sure a LHW Jones could manage to do damage.

Johnson stops Jones 15 rounds . Jones would give him problems early on though

Since we have not established what distance this fight would be fought over ,his, "superiority in stamina" is of uncertain value.

Ketchel was 10lbs over the middleweight limit and the KD is dubious to say the least.

It looked real to me. But still, RJJ would be in the ring at 180 or so pounds, which would make him a full fledged heavyweight in 1908.

His superior stamina is always a factor because if he can last more rounds than jones then he can work at higher level in shorter fights

Ever see or read about Johnson working at a high level? He was a defensive fighter, who boxed off the back foot.

No he didn't. They threw about 2 punches a round

Johnson was fully ripped, shredded at 200 lbs and Roy at 196 looked a bit pumped up like a balloon , no question Johnson is naturally bigger, he would use that size as he did against Burns and would trap Jones and keep working on him and pushing and leaning on him tire him and stop him anywhere after the 10th

    Under very long fights rules.
    But anyway..
Obviously you don't know it so i will tell you that you spend a lot of energy in the clinch using your strength constantly and johnson used a lot the clinch

A past his best 160-162 pound Jack O-Brien out boxed a prime 1909 Jack Johnson, outscoring him with his jab. O'brien had pillow punches. Roy Jones does not. Jones UD or TKO. I'd give Johnson an outside shot for scoring a KO himself as Jones did not have a good chin by heavyweight standards.
