And yet he couldn't stop Parker. He also fouled him.

Chisora was 34 and shopworn and it took Whyte 11 rounds of non stop pressure to ko him. They went the distance in their 1st fight. That's why i said "volume slugger" because he hits hard but is wild and sloppy and usually needs to land lots of blows to soften a guy up. Whyte is like a bigger version of Mike Weaver.

I know raw destructive power when i see it. I've felt it.

He also fought and beat a super champion away from home

Say whaymt you want about Wilder, but he effectively beat him twice away from home also

Fury has had mickey mouse fights and it is frustrating. He has also stepped up when it matters

Don't forget he also signed to fight haye when he was very much the underdog. Haye would kill everyone on whytes resume including whyte and Aj

    Whyte punches harder

    Who is faster?
    Who is more skilled?
    Who has better footwork?
    Who has better cardio?
    Who has the better chin?
    Who has better recovery?
    Who has more heart?
    Who is the bigger man?
    Who has the better jab?
    Who is more agile?
    Better reflexes?
    Who has the longer reach?
Who has the better boxing iq?
Who is the better inside fighter?
Who can step up a level when it matters?

    All the above for fury

So what if he struggled against wallin
Ali struggled against Jones and cooper

Not saying Fury is Ali, but he is the closest guy in the era to him and both step it up a level when they have to

Both have heart to climb off the canvas in the final round against dangerous punchers

Whyte is chisora level, which is a very good level. Delboy can fight

However, that is much behind AJ, Usyk and fury.

Ruiz would absolutely batter, dillian, that I have no doubt

fury is alright as a boxer good for the division but he is a piece of crap for saying he will face whyte then ducking

cant respect a man with no cahonas.

a bad fighter with cahonas has my respect

like i respect hughie more for taking big fights so early on

    fury is an idiot howeber

i mean a 6 foot 9 “king of boxing” beating on a 6 foot nobody is just...not an achvievement

My IQ has been tested multiple times. It's higher than your electric bill.

Having good boxing ability means you minimize the risk of being knocked out. Or do you not understand basic boxing? A guy could have a 6/10 jaw but superb defense and is harder to stop than a guy who has an 8/10 jaw but crappy defense.

Having a high ranking means you obviously have very good boxing ability.

Being in your prime means better endurance, reflexes, and toughness to be able to take a punch.

    Are you following?

So if Chisora was past his prime, did not have great boxing ability, and wasn't ranked that high how good of a KO was it in reality? It was just a slug fest with a flat footed guy who had poor defense and no head movement and it took him 11 rounds. It hardly qualifies as a measuring stick to indicate elite punching power.

I never even said Whyte lacked power or that he was feather fisted. He can obviously hit hard and is maybe a 7 or 8/10. But there is nothing on his resume indicating he's some sort of elite all time great puncher. Because he does not have a single knock out over a quality opponent in their prime.

There are an awful lot of opponents who went the distance with him. He did not stop Parker, Wach, Helenius, or Rivas. Chisora went the distance with him in their 1st fight. Joshua wasn't floored either and knocked him out after taking his best shots. Most of Whyte's KO's are against C and D level opponents.

His power on that left hook is immense, as hard a shot as anyone's when it lands flush. The way he dropped Parker the second time was sickening, shades of Earnie Shavers vs Larry Holmes in the shotgun impact it made. That Parker got up from it is incredible.

Chisora was also completely flatlined by Whyte, and he's about as tough as they come.

Whyte's power on the rest of his shots is average to above average. His right is ok, but he doesn't seem to get much weight behind it. His jab is heavy but not Lennox or Liston heavy. His body shots are pretty thudding, and he sets them up well which improves their effectiveness. I believe his bodywork accounts for a good degree of his success upstairs.

    Um, Haye?
You are once again telling these little lies

And Browne is not some iron chinned warrior. He had been knocked down in at least 4 prior fights to Whyte. And not due to his stellar opposition.

Nah, Whyte would outpoint Ruiz with his jab. Keep Ruiz on the outside and his effectiveness drops considerably.

He got inside AJ jab, he would get inside whyte

Ruiz has a granite chin, so Whyte has no prayer of stopping him. I think Ruiz would land combos and finish Whyte by the mid rounds

Ruiz is fat, but Whyte moves like a big lump

He looked awful in his last fight and I don't think he will look good this weekend despite fighting a guy long past his best

Whyte is decent, but he is Way overhyped

The fact this lump can fight for a title shows how awful the modern heavyweight division is

He would not be a contender in the 90s
