I remember a night out in the 90s, was in my late teens and pulled this fit blonde girl with massive fun bags, I could barely walk I was that bladdered but was well pleased with myself. We exchanged numbers, and organised to meet each other in town the following afternoon. I walked right past her, and only when she said my name did I look round and see through sober eyes the swamp donkey I’d pulled the previous night. I was expecting Reece Witherspoon, what I got was Gemma Collins.

This is exactly how I felt when I clicked on this thread and seen the opening post.

 

Brilliant pal we have all been there ! Made worse as i see Canelo asked WBC for Yildrum to be his mandatory. If that is genuine he has ducked Callum Smith.

From my point of view, this smacks of the WBC / Wilder with a silly soft match up.

Farce is the objective word that springs to mind.

 

People need to remember this, just like they need to remember the years of Clen assisted weight bullying. On paper Alvarez should be an ATG, no question, I can't bring myself to consider him one though. Yes he is a fantastic boxer but I can't give him the recognition because of how he has gone about his career.

I grew up thinking that the WBC was the most desirable belt, they're nothing but a bunch of rich jokers. I'd love Yildrim to fight cautiously and make Alvarez look bad.

 

The SMW division is the laughing stock of boxing.

Mundane Smith has no ambition and clearly just wants a cash out (which at his relatively young age is really sad), Billy Joe Sinus hasn't fought a top 20 opponent in years and can't even stay in remotely decent shape, Doughboy Benavidez can't even make the weight to defend his own title, Plant is very limited and now this nonsense.

The only true professional among the top SMW fighters is John Gorrilla Ryder

Lol Alvarez is fighting a Turkish bum who made Eubank Jr look like Beterbiev.

Alvarez could knock him out in 1 round if he wants to. Yildirim is awful.
