This content is protected Interesting, Whyte looks 100x times better than he did vs Wach. Has this video changed your mind on who wins this one? Best he's ever looked honestly. I thought he was going to spiral out of control after he moved his camp to Portugal, glad to be wrong.
Looks solid... maximum violence Gonna be a scrap, Povetkin is a legend, great fighter. Let's show Michael Hunter how to beat Povetkin.
No drug testing for this fight and he couldn't look any worse than what he did against Wach. He looked disgraceful that night.
Good to see Whyte in pretty good shape again. Povetkin is well past his best, but I still think he'll give Whyte a hell of a fight, but he'll eventually fade and that's when Whyte will take over and either stop him late or win a decision.
Povetkin's punching technique is still very good. His looping shots, short hooks and crouching style will always give people problems. He still has a lot of finesse to his game. The only concern is that he operates as a counter puncher mostly and is effective when you are messy. If Whyte goes forward and Povetkin works out his rhytmn this will be an awesome slug contest.
Yes, WADA did 95% less testing durning the ongoing pandemic and both guys show up in great shape (for their standarts), what a shocker. Not to mention that Whyte was hiding from UKADA in Portugal...
It always surprises me how uniformed people can be especially when it comes to drug testing. It was confirmed earlier this week that both Whyte and Povetkin have been part of the VADA testing program for this fight since it was originally mooted earlier this year. Now while I am sure the frequency of testing during the pandemic has been reduced, it is simple to go on VADA site and check to see who has been tested. The same applies to Katie Taylor and Delfine Persoon. The fact that there is VADA testing does not align with the agenda of some of the posters but this is an easy claim to verify. Instead, the typical knuckle draggers will continue to mumble "What about drug testing UHHHHHHHH!"
Now whether you have confidence in VADA/USADA/UKAD depends on your point of view however, that does not take away from whether testing has been done or not. That is a simple binary answer.
Whyte's a big unit. He performs better when he comes in lighter. I do think he should try and get his weight below the 245 range though.
Well at least we have got two heavyweight fighters that look in decent shape, hoping Whyte beats Povetkin convincingly to reinforce his claim for a title shot after a full training camp, none of this short notice nonsense, if the champ gets full training camp so should the no1 contender.
