How did Jeffries almost kill him, many thought the fight should have been a draw?

I'd say Fitz's power compares favourably with Marciano's

What does that have to do with this?

Sharkey vs Marciano no thanks, i can't stand fighters like these two who avoid their opponents, dancing around the ring, treating the bout like a intellectual chess match, i want fighters who will stand toe to toe and slug it out...........o_O

I would pay for a ringside seat, i think a lot of claret and brain cells would be lost by each in this battle of attrition bout for sure.

I would suggest it would need a not too squeamish ref/doc to not stop the fight due to Marciano cuts in this bout.

Likewise i am sure that Mr Sharkey would more than be able to respond very capably with Marcianos ignoring of the niceties of boxing rules, in fact i know it, no ref needed.

Who of these two wins, i'm not entirely sure but i know that if the bout was possible that those watching would feel like winners, a helluva fight with emphasis on fight, no 20ft boxing ring needed for this bout, a phone booth would suffice

Sharkey actually fought more on the defensive in some of his earlier fights, including his first one with Jeffries.

He certainly did in parts of bout with Jeffries but then after Jeffries puts you on the deck with a wallop to your ear, some caution while clearing your head is not ill advised. Sharkey did seem to have issue with dealing with Jeffries height and reach in the bout, the rushing in game not going to plan at times.

    Maybe in dreams!
I named two people who would lose badly!
Did Douglas lost against Holyfield in 3 rounds and was TKOed than Tucker and somehow he would beat Marciano?Yes in his dreams in reality he would get mauled.
Marciano beat Charles and we all know that Charles is more skilled Holyfield.
Marciano would maul both of them.

Jeffries almost killed him and Sharkey run the whole fight because he was scared to slug with past prime Jim who had broken hand!
Fitz power really don't maybe Choynski/Jeffries were close but Fitz was not.
Prime Jeffries with both hands would stop him inside of 10 rounds

Jeffries didn't even reach his peak then, he wasn't old.

Jeffries did not have a broken hand in any of the Sharkey fights.Sharkey sustained broken ribs, a broken finger, and a dislocated arm in their second fight.

You obviously have not read the contemporary fight reports of this bout. Jeffries was 24 years old for the 2nd Sharkey fight .

Sharkey actually seems to have been better when he was more aggresive. It's not even just the first Jeffries fight, in a lot of his earlier fights he was a lot less aggressive.

Nope he didnt, he had a damaged his arm when a medicine ball thrown by a sparring partner caught it wrong and he had heat treatment for it.In sparring just prior to the fight he used it extensively and said it was as good as new. Just read the fight reports Mate or better still Pollack's bio of jeffries and Tom Sharkey's nieces bio of Sharkey as I have done.Because you are making a lot of silly statements here that are without any foundation whatsoever.
