I've never been a fan of his, but hat's off to him, this was a good win.

The problem is he lost every second of the fight and was looking like defeat was close around the corner .

Should Povetkin take this win to the bank and go out on a high night?
or should look to cash out and get served up as cannon fodder to the likes of AJ (again) or Wilder?

Nor were you ever a fan of any fighter who looks like him. Nothing lucky about that puncher either casual. That was pure set up. The problem is biased commentary sways lemmings such as yourself especially ones with an agenda. The first 3 rounds were all competitive with most people on site having Povetkin ahead, the 4th was a bad round to be sure but Povetkin kept his composure and made a great read on that uppercut in the 5th. Stay mad.

This is gibberish from a casual with an agenda.

Sascha is not going to retire any time soon. He is going to beat Whyte in December, and challenge one last time for the chamionship.

A Lucky shot. Jesus really? Was Oscar Rivas uppercut that dropped Whyte “a lucky shot” Same punch. Anthony Joshuas uppercut knock out of Whyte was definitely a lucky shot too right?

Do any homework, literally any and you will see there is very little luck involved. Whyte is susceptible to the uppercut due to flawed high guard. It’s a glaring hole in his style. I don’t think Povetkin is being given credit for studying his opponent and to call it a lucky shot is ignorant at best.

It was a beautifully planned uppercut over a lazy right hand. Povetkin had his eyes wide open and knew exactly what he was doing. It was the complete opposite of a "lucky shot". OP is a troll and should be banned from this site for a while until he becomes an adult.

    SMDH.

Would one of the mods who shall remain nameless hitting the ban button to send a painfully obvious alt and troll packing be considered a ''lucky shot''?

I was hoping I wouldn't see "lucky punch" on this forum today.

How the feck was that lucky? Whyte has a clear flaw in his defence, Alexander took advantage of that. It was the best knockout I've seen in ages.

Povetkins class is undeniable. Undefeated apart from Prime Klit loss and AJ loss (as he approaches 40).

    Speaks for itself.

It was "lucky" in that Povetkin showed up in shape, confident, with a plan, fought hard to steal early rounds, weathered adversity, saw his shot, took it, and knocked Whyte, the #3 heavyweight in the world, cold with one of the best, most well-timed and effective counters I have ever seen in 40 years of watching boxing.

All kinds of luck going on there.
