Yeah he got fobbed off by Hearn with the promise of a couple of easy acclimatising fights at the weight for decent paydaystpaydays keep him off of Joshua's ass.

Usyk is a top five P4P lock. He's more proven than any heavyweight in the world.

He's not proven at heavyweight level, that's what I mean.

You're not proven at heavyweight level until you've actually fought someone at this weight. He fought Witherspoon, who isn't even Chisora level.

He ko'd Bellew who'd won x2 vs Haye who was operating at hw and ranked, he also had a clear cw win vs Hunter who is now a top 10 hw. You suggesting Usyk ranks under Hunter? Not in my book

I’d really like to see Usyk Parker.

i think usyk is frozen until 2021 since all the top names are tied up. Maybe he will end up fighting someone like hunter early next year and then hope to get a big fight offer.

I don't think he ranks under Hunter, I'm saying there needs to be more proof of him being so good that he deserve a title shot so soon.

And he beat an ageing Bellew who was retiring and beat a washed up Haye who was a shadow of his former self.

Sorry, I'm not buying it. Usyk is the undisputed champ of cruiserweight, I respect that, but I think he should at least be fighting the number 1 contender first before just going straight for the title shot.

Beating Witherspoon and Bellew means nothing. Hunter is an impressive victory, but it was at a lower weight. True, Hunter at least matched Povetkin on that night, but it's still only one fight.

Haye got a shot at Valuev after one C class hw win, that's because he brought a lot to the table and Usyk does likewise. A win over a doorkeeper like Chisora isn't really necessary in my book although he will no doubt have to face him or similar first..

I agree. Usyk wants a title shot yet he's fighting Chisora in the mean time? Should be fighting Parker really. Fighting Chisora to me is telling me is scared of being down ranked if he gets beat by someone decent.

Soon to be 34, totally unproven at heavy, probably be 36 before his first title shot if he can avoid being ko'd.

I dont see him doing much

Don't forget Breidis who knocked out WBA "regular ol' champion" Manuel Charr.

    It leaves him with Chisora.

He's not got too much time on his side, and the COVID situation isn't going to dissipate in the very near future.

Usyk basically has to make a statement with Chisora (or lose) then play his next hand after that.
