I think so. Reminds me a bit of Emile Griffith. Not brilliant in any category but was very good at everything. Thoughts?
He was on the pound-for-pound type lists from 2004/2005 until his retirement with very little time off. That's a decade. He was an ATG, yeah.
Absolutely. Marquez>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Pacquaio for my money. Marquez legacy suffers from being ducked by everyone, neither Hamed, MAB or Morales wanted any for years and having shitty management. Pacquaio ducked the rubber match until Marquez was ancient and still got schooled to **** before Daddy Arum bought the jugdes. What does Papa Marquez do, does he cry? Give up? Say he can outbox Pac again only to be robbed again? No he says 'THIS IS SPARTA, MOTHER****ER', and decapitates the WHOLE OF BOXING
Of course he is. One of the best Mexican fighters of all time in my opinion. KOing an ATG legend in brutal fashion already makes you an ATG.
His constant dominance at FW, SWF and LW gets massively underrated too. The fact they didn't look for Pacquaio Marquez 5 speaks a 1000 words
Well Pac was hoping to get another rematch with JMM, seeing as he always granted JMM's wishes for rematches. JMM decided against it and wisely retired in good health. It is ironic how JMM, after KOing Pac cold, ends up getting schooled by Bradley (who would later get beat by Pac twice) in his next fight. Styles always makes fights.
Yes I think so, I wouldn't say he completely shits on Barrera and Morales though, especially Morales.
JMM never got schooled by Bradley, he outlanded him but Bradley did shake up JMM more being naturally bigger
